Itinerary
- Day 1
Habarana to Sigiriya
You'll meet your driver at the airport and head to Habarana for an afternoon that takes you through rice paddies and rural villages (about 3 hours total). Stop to try a fresh coconut, then take a fishing boat out on Hiriwadunna Lake. After that you'll drive to Sigiriya for the night.

- Day 2
Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa
Start early and head up Sigiriya rock fortress, climbing the 200-meter monolith to see the ancient palace remains and the famous rock paintings called the 'cloud girls'. The views from the top cover the whole area around you. Later you'll drive to Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO site with the old royal city, then return to Sigiriya.

Dambulla to Kandy
After breakfast, drive to Dambulla to see the cave temples (UNESCO listed), then continue on to Kandy. You'll walk around the city, check out the local market, and visit the Temple of the Tooth, which holds a tooth relic that served as a symbol of power for the Sinhalese kingdom.

- Day 4
Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Head to Peradeniya to walk through the botanical garden containing over 5,000 plants and animal species. From there, you'll drive toward Nuwara Eliya on winding roads with waterfalls and tea plantations visible along the way. Stop at a tea factory, then explore Nuwara Eliya, a British colonial town with parks and historic buildings, finishing with an afternoon tour of the city.

- Day 5
Horton Plains National Park
Take a guided walk through Horton Plains National Park (around 4 hours) and visit World's End on the plateau for views that are best early in the morning. After breakfast, you'll either head to the beach if you're staying longer or drive to Colombo airport, arriving around 6 pm for departure.
