Itinerary
- Day 1
South Bali to Belulang
A VW Kübelwagen picks you up from your South Bali hotel early on and heads through countryside toward Sangeh, where you'll walk around the sacred monkey forest under tall nutmeg trees. There's time to cool off at Pengempu waterfall after that. From there the drive takes you into the mountains to reach Lake Bratan and the Ulun Danu temple, which sits right on the water. After checking it out, you'll pass through traditional villages as you continue toward West Bali, finally arriving in the mountain village of Belulang for the end of the day.

- Day 2
Belulang
Spend your day doing sustainable activities right in the village and learning how things are really done here. Start with making traditional jamu, which are herbal drinks made using old methods that locals have used for generations. You'll tour through the herb and spice garden, then move into a traditional outdoor kitchen for a cooking class where you'll prepare yellow spice paste, stewed chicken, and grilled fish satay. Later there's time to check out Balikaru Farm and orchid gardens, watch how beekeeping happens the traditional way, help with rice planting, and learn how to make bamboo instruments. By evening you'll walk through the village and finish with a dip in a natural hot sulphur spring to relax after everything.

- Day 3
Belulang to South Bali
After breakfast you check out and drive to Pura Luhur Batukaru, one of Bali's holiest temples located on the slopes of Batukaru volcano where rainforest surrounds everything. A 90-minute hike takes you through Batukaru National Park jungle, and then you continue to the UNESCO rice terraces at Jatiluwih where lunch happens with views across the fields. While walking through the terraces, your guide explains how the traditional Balinese irrigation system works and why it's designed that way. Next comes Pejaten village to see how pottery, bricks, and roof tiles get made using traditional techniques, followed by a stop at the Subak Museum to learn about rice farming and agricultural history. The drive back to your South Bali hotel wraps up the day.
