Medellin
You'll arrive in Medellin and get settled at your hotel. The city sits at about 4,905 feet elevation with a pleasant climate year-round, usually between 60-75°F/15-24°C. After you check in, the rest of the day is open for you to wander around the neighborhood, grab dinner somewhere nearby, or just relax at your hotel and get acclimated.

Medellin
This is a full day exploring Medellin's center with a guide. You'll see Parque de Bolivar, the Cathedral, and Plaza Botero with its sculptures and museums. Taking the Metrocable cable car gives you nice views across the city and its surrounding hills. After that, you'll head to Comuna 13, a neighborhood known for its street art and social projects, where you'll stop for lunch at a restaurant focused on community impact.

Santa Elena - Guatape
Start by visiting Santa Elena to see how the region grows flowers and learn about silletas, the traditional flower arrangements used during festivals. Later you'll drive about 2 hours to Guatape village. Once there, you can climb the 740 steps up Piedra del Penol rock formation for sweeping views of the lakes and mountains below. Afterward, walk through Guatape's narrow cobbled streets and check out the colorful painted colonial houses that make the village distinctive.
