Arrival in Santa Maria
Your travel representative will meet you when you arrive and arrange a door-to-door transfer to your accommodation in Santa Maria. The pick-up time gets scheduled based on your flight arrival, so you'll have transportation sorted from the moment you land.

Shark Bay and Pedra de Lume
Start with an authentic Cape Verdean lunch prepared by a local family, where you'll try traditional flavors and get a real sense of how people eat here. After lunch, you'll head off-road to Shark Bay to encounter lemon sharks in shallow waters. Later on, you'll relax in the mineral-rich thermal waters at Pedra de Lume, an extinct volcano crater where the water's so salty you float effortlessly, similar to the Dead Sea.

São Vicente to Sea Turtle Snorkeling
You'll get picked up and transferred to the airport for a flight to São Vicente Island. Once you arrive, join a sea turtle snorkeling adventure where expert guides provide all the equipment, a safety briefing, and educational information about sea turtle conservation. You'll take a short boat trip to observe and swim with these creatures, then get transferred back to your accommodation in Mindelo.

Landmarks São Vicente Island - Day 4
Mindelo, Monte Verde, and Baia das Gatas
Begin with a guided walking tour of Mindelo, checking out vibrant markets, colonial buildings, the fishing market, and a local church. From there, you'll drive to Monte Verde Natural Park at the highest point on São Vicente to see the views and endemic plants. Next comes a visit to the fishing village of Salamansa, then Baia das Gatas where you can take a refreshing dip or just relax on the shore. You'll have lunch and then explore the sand dunes along the Norte Baia-Calhau road.

You'll get picked up and transferred to Mindelo port to board a ferry to Santo Antão. From there, hike from Cova Natural Park's extinct volcano, reaching over 1000 meters elevation with views of verdant oasis areas below. You'll descend through plantations of sugarcane, banana, mango, and coffee while learning about native plants and animals. After a lunch break, visit a traditional rum distillery to taste Grogue and understand how it's made.

Ponta do Sol to Cruzinha Coastal Hike
Meet your guide at your accommodation to start a scenic hike along rocky cliffs with ocean views heading toward the village of Fontainhas, which National Geographic ranked among the top ten villages with the best views. Continue through valleys and mountains to reach Corvo and Formiguinhas, visiting the black-sand beach of Praia das Aranhas, a well-known turtle nesting site. You'll move along volcanic rocks and ocean to the fishing village of Cruzinha, then return after grabbing lunch in a local settlement.
