Itinerary
- Day 1
Siem Reap
Your pickup happens at 4:30 am to get you to Angkor Wat before sunrise. Once the light breaks over the temple, you'll spend about two hours walking through ancient passageways, taking in the intricate bas-relief carvings while your guide walks through the stories behind the Khmer empire. Around 8 am you'll grab breakfast, then head over to Angkor Thom's south gate where those impressive causeway statues stand. From there you'll check out Bayon temple to see how Hindu and Buddhist symbols blend together, and afterward move on to Ta Prohm temple with its jungle-covered stones. Lunch happens at a local restaurant near Srah Srang Reservoir around noon, wrapping up the morning and early afternoon.
