Asked on April 9th, 2025Looking to book an extension to the tour at a beach location after the 13 day tour and wondered if you could advise on the best areas to stay. Any suggestions you have could you tell me how far away from Tokyo airport this would be as we may need to book a hotel in Tokyo the night before our flight back to the UK with BA.

Traveler•Written April 2025I did not request information regarding a hotel at the start of the tour which you seem to have given me. I wanted to know about beach destination we could visit for a few days after the tour has finished and whether you could suggest anywhere.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written April 2025
Once the Highlights of Japan tour ends, you'll be on your own and free to continue exploring. The tour concludes in Tokyo, so if you're looking to unwind at a beach for a few days afterwards, here are a few options near Tokyo you might consider: Enoshima Beach – a popular seaside escape just over an hour from Tokyo. Zushi Beach – relaxed and great for swimming, also close to Kamakura. Kujukuri Beach – a long stretch of coastline in Chiba, great for a quieter experience.

Tokyo+ - JPY 9000: Spend your free evening in Tokyo soaking up the bright lights, stunning sights and sounds of Japan's buzzing capital city. Make your way to the Tokyo Skytree Tower and head to the Tembo Deck (350m up!) for sweeping panoramic views of this captivating city. Then, enjoy free time to grab some dinner in Omoide Yokocho - a bustling maze of narrow alleyways home to many enticing street food stalls. Finally, embark on a walking tour of Shinjuku.

Traveler•Written December 2024Is this the only optional available on the entire Tour?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written December 2024
Currently, the Tokyo+ excursion is the only optional activity available for our 2025 departures. Additional optional excursions may be introduced at a later date.

Asked on November 15th, 2024I'm interested in this tour, and would like to go from March 25th till april 5th, but I see prices changing at these days, could you do same price like is in advertisement.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written November 2024
The tour prices do vary based on the departure date and how early you make your booking, as we operate on a bucket pricing system. This means that as more seats are booked, the prices can increase. Unfortunately, we aren't able to adjust the pricing to match earlier advertised rates.

Asked on October 18th, 2024Will the tour guide make an effort to take the group to blossom sites?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written October 2024
If there are cherry blossoms along the tour route, the tour leader will certainly do their best to stop for a photo opportunity. However, as this can depend on timing and location, we can't guarantee specific blossom-viewing stops.

Traveler•Written June 2024Which hotel will be staying at the start and end of the tour?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written June 2024
We do have tours for Japan in 2024 and I can see that the upcoming departure is for July 15, 2024. You can check the website again as it is in a different tour page than the ones for 2025. Also, Hotels are confirmed closer to the departure and we urge customers to check with us around 60 Days before their tour starts to get the name of the Hotel(s).

Asked on May 23rd, 2024Are international flights included in the tour price?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written May 2024
Whilst internal flights are covered for certain itineraries, you will have to make your way to the meeting point for the start of your tour. When booking flights be mindful of departure times and possible delays.
Tip: We suggest that you start comparing prices the moment your deposit is paid to avoid costly flights.

Contactless payment is widely accepted across Europe – it’s best to bring a payment card with no overseas withdrawal fees.
