Itinerary
- Day 1
Taxila
Start your adventure in Islamabad by checking out the Faisal Mosque and the Monument of Pakistan, two iconic spots that give you a real sense of the city. From there, head to the Lok Virsa Museum to get a feel for Pakistan's cultural heritage. Later in the day, you'll drive to Taxila to walk through ancient Buddhist ruins and see the Taxila Museum's collection of Gandhara art, which is really something special. After you finish exploring there, it's back to Islamabad for the evening.

- Day 2
Mardan - Peshawar
After breakfast, you're heading to Mardan to visit Takht Bhai, a UNESCO World Heritage Buddhist monastic complex from the 1st century BCE. The site itself tells you a lot about the region's history. From there, continue on to Peshawar and spend time at the Peshawar Museum, which has an extensive collection of Gandhara art and archaeological pieces. It's a solid day of seeing how Buddhism and trade routes shaped this part of the world.

- Day 3
Peshawar
This day is all about Peshawar's streets and cultural spots. Start at the historic Khyber Gate, then wander through the Qissa Khwani Bazaar (Storytellers' Bazaar) where the energy and history mix together. You'll head back to the Peshawar Museum to catch anything you might have missed before. After that, you've got a scenic journey back to Skardu, so plan for some travel time and take in the landscape as you make your way there.
