The sights and activities included in the tour gave us a great overview of what Sri Lanka has to offer, it truly is a hidden paradise. The optional activities were a lot of fun, and there was no pressure to participate in everything. The best part of the tour was our guide, Lahiru. He was incredibly down to earth, made sure everyone felt included, and ensured we were all having a great time. He also has a lot of knowledge about nature and wildlife, and he’s fantastic at photographing leopards and birds. One of the highlights was a full-day safari in Yala with him, which was absolutely amazing. I felt really good being part of his group. Some of my personal highlights were definitely the hike up Sigiriya Lion's Rock, the Kandy Cultural Show, and the safaris, one in Minneriya to see elephants, and another in Yala where we saw leopards and a bear. Our group was so lucky because we got to see all the animals up close. It was an amazing experience! We went on a safari to see hundreds of elephants, climbed a fortress, took surf lessons, and went on another safari to spot leopards and other wildlife. Sri Lanka truly is a hidden paradise. Before I decided to visit, I asked around for travel recommendations and everyone mentioned popular places like Bali and Thailand. No one mentioned Sri Lanka, but after doing some research and watching travel blogs, I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did. I had an incredible time and I’m so happy I chose to explore the country with the best tour company in Sri Lanka. From my first email full of doubts to the last hug at the airport, Lahiru was amazing. He helped me plan everything and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the whole trip. As a solo traveler coming from the other side of the world, I felt completely safe from the moment I first reached out to him until I saw him at the airport on my way home. The best part was having Lahiru as our guide. We learned so much about the country from him, and he was very respectful and kind. It is not necessary to have dinners at the stays, it will be nice to have a guide who can suggest us local places to taste the local food, and in general the taste of the local atmosphere is the most important thing.
