Arrival in Phnom Penh
You'll land at Techo International Airport where your guide and driver meet you. The drive to Phnom Penh includes helpful commentary about the city's history and how it developed over time. Once you check into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to do what you want. Sleep off the travel, walk around nearby areas, or grab dinner at one of the local restaurants to get a feel for Cambodian food.

Phnom Penh
After breakfast, you'll spend the morning and afternoon visiting Phnom Penh's historical sites. Start at Choeung Ek Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum to understand the Khmer Rouge period. Following lunch, you'll see the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, then head to Wat Phnom, Wat Ounalom, and the Independence Monument. By evening, you'll browse the Central Market, an old Art Deco building filled with crafts and souvenirs.

Phnom Penh to Siem Reap
You'll leave Phnom Penh early for the overland journey to Siem Reap with several stops along the way. In Skun, you'll check out the fried spider market and local food specialties. Next, visit a traditional stone carving village where artisans hand-carve religious figures and statues. After lunch at a local spot, you'll see the 12th-century Naga Bridge with its detailed naga balustrades before arriving in Siem Reap by late afternoon.

Angkor Archaeological Park
This is a full day at Angkor Archaeological Park. Head out early to catch sunrise at Angkor Wat, the massive religious monument, then return to your hotel for breakfast and a break. Afterward, explore the South Gate of Angkor Thom and its temples like Bayon with its famous stone faces, Baphuon, Phimeanakas, and the Terraces of the Elephants and Leper King. Later you'll visit Ta Prohm with its tree-covered ruins, grab lunch, then see Banteay Kdei and Srah Srang bathing pool.

Siem Reap
Start by visiting Roluos Local Market, one of the oldest traditional markets from the Khmer Empire period. Then travel to Tonle Sap Lake for a boat tour of floating villages with houses, schools, markets, and churches on the water. You'll have lunch, then explore the Roluos Group of Temples, the first Khmer capital, including Lo Lei, Preah Ko, and Bakong. Before heading back to your hotel, you'll check out Wat Bo Pagoda, Artisans d'Angkor, and Royal Residence Park.

Phnom Kulen National Park and Banteay Srei
After breakfast, travel north to Phnom Kulen National Park, a sacred mountain where Angkor's sandstone originally came from. You'll visit Poeng Ta Kho for views, see the largest reclining Buddha carved into the mountain at a monastery, walk through the 1000 Lingas River with sacred carvings, and see Phnom Kulen Waterfall. Following lunch, head to Banteay Srei Temple from the 10th century, known for its pink sandstone and detailed work. Stop at a traditional Khmer village to watch palm sugar being made before returning.

Departure from Siem Reap
You have the morning free to do whatever you'd like at your own pace. Your driver will meet you in the hotel lobby at the scheduled time for the transfer to Siem Reap Angkor International Airport. This is a private transfer without a guide. Your time in Cambodia wraps up as you head to the airport with plenty of memories from your travels.
