Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok
You'll land in Bangkok this morning and get picked up for the drive to your hotel. Once you've settled in, you'll head out on a traditional long tail boat to cruise the Chao Phraya River and weave through the interior canals, making a stop at Wat Arun temple. The rest of your day is open, so you can grab dinner, explore the area around your hotel, or just relax before your overnight stay.

- Day 2
Bangkok
After breakfast, you'll visit the Grand Royal Palace and Wat Phra Kaew to see the Emerald Buddha statue, then head to Wat Pho to check out the massive reclining Buddha. In the afternoon, you'll transfer to the Jim Thompson House, where you'll learn about the American businessman's story and walk through his collection of Thai art and teak homes. You'll stay overnight in Bangkok.

- Day 3
Bangkok to Ayutthaya
You're heading to Ayutthaya, Thailand's ancient capital (about an hour from Bangkok). There you'll walk through temple and palace ruins including Wat Phu Khao Thong, the old palace grounds, and Wat Phra Si Sanphet. You'll also see Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit with its large bronze Buddha, plus Wat Lokaya Sutha with its reclining Buddha. Later, the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace shows off a mix of European, Khmer, Thai and Chinese architecture. Lunch is on your own. You'll head back to your Bangkok hotel in the afternoon and have free time to rest. Overnight in Bangkok.
