Tour and Adventure Leaders are excellent. Some aspects of the transfer from S. Korea to Japan can be greatly improved.

    • The Dragon TripOperatorWritten February 2025

October & November is one of the best times to go. The typhoon season is over and it's not as cold yet. This trip would be a good option for as there's a good mix of planned activities and free time. The tour includes 1 breakfast, 1 dinner and 1 sushi class. Budget about £15-20 a day for food and drink. The tour includes 2 flights from Osaka (KIX) to Seoul Incheon (ICN) and from Busan (PUS) to Jeju (CJU). Recommended to fly into Narita (NRT) or Haneda (TYO) airports in Tokyo, and can fly out from Jeju (CJU).

      Monique

      TravelerWritten March 2025

Do we have the option of making our own breakfast in the hostels? Do the hostels have kitchens? For the flight leaving South Korea, all searches require changing airports in Seoul. Do you have suggestions on how to book flights to avoid this issue?

    • The Dragon TripOperatorWritten March 2025

A couple of the hostels do have kitchens but not all of them. They will have breakfast options available either in the hostel or close to it. Flights from Jeju Island typically arrive in Seoul Gimpo airport which mostly services domestic flights. Most international flights will fly from Incheon. We can help organize the Jeju-Gimpo flight, which will arrive at Gimpo at 1PM. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Incheon. It's recommended to arrive at the airport at least 2-3 hours before your flight. Therefore, we recommend booking your return flight from 4.30-5PM earliest.

Do you take people older than 60? we are both in our mid 70's

    Age Range
    • The Dragon TripOperatorWritten August 2024

Unfortunately, the maximum age for this tour is 55. We have designed this tour with youth travellers in mind - we use youth hostels and the itineraries are high intensity with 20,000+ steps per day. Most travellers will be in their 20s.

Why is the age limited at 60 y.o. ?

    Age Range
    Tour Details
    • The Dragon TripOperatorWritten May 2024

This tour is designed primarily with 20-30 year olds in mind. The tours are very active and jam-packed, including early starts and getting on and off local transportation. There will be a lot of walking, and activities such as cycling. You would be walking more than 20,000 steps per day! The accommodation will be hostel based, even with a room upgrade you may be in a private room in the hostel, depending on the location, so it may be a bit noisy in the evenings as the group goes partying.

How much would I expect to pay for the trip to Seoul and the return from Tokyo (I live in Paris, FR) ?

    • The Dragon TripOperatorWritten May 2024

We don't provide flights and these would have to be arranged independently. However, having looked at Google flights - the price ranges from £600 to £900 (700- 1000 EUR).

What are the best months to visit South Korea (when it is colder and near the end of the tourist season) but the attractions are still open to see the most possible?

    • The Dragon TripOperatorWritten May 2024

The period between September and November would be an ideal time to visit if you prefer visiting South Korea when the weather is cooler.

Wanted to know if you could also book our flights to/from Canada for this trip? We would also like to stay 4-5 days in Toyko before going back to Canada. Would it be possible to book extra hotel stays?

What kind of flight deal do you think you could offer from Washington Dulles (IAD) and return?

    • The Dragon TripOperatorWritten March 2024

We don't book international flights from the USA but would recommend checking third-party websites or search engines, such as Skyscanner and Google Flights, for any flight deals.

Are you saying that breakfasts are not included with the lodging? How much are most meals?

    • The Dragon TripOperatorWritten January 2024

Most meals are not included in the tour. The tour does include meals during some activities such as the sushi-making class and the BBQ night in Jeju. Generally, budget around 20,000 KRW (15 USD) per day for food. You can get a meal of Gimpap (Korean sushi) or noodles for 5,000-6,000 KRW.

    • The Dragon TripOperatorWritten January 2024

You will need a Korean e-visa (kETA) for your visit to South Korea. This can be arranged online. You currently don't need a visa to travel to Japan.
