At which end is the hotel and when do you know which one it is? I will be in Ulaanbaatar for days both before and after this tour and would like to stay in the same hotel for a few days.

This tour goes through the southern and central parts of Mongolia. Most of the overnight stays will be in Ger (yurt) camp except for a 1-2 nights stay with the local family. Standard non-ensuite Ger with beds and all beddings included in the tour. Communal toilets and showers are in separate buildings. Few of Ger camps also offer ensuite Ger and rooms with private bathrooms in cottage houses, it costs extra upgrading cost if our clients want to stay there. Electricity is provided all Ger camps, however some Ger camp use own electric generator and provide electricity during the day time only. All meals are included in the tour. Generally we provide English speaking guide service. Please let us know which language do you speak and when would you wan to travel. We will check availability of other language guide and can inform you exactly.

We have 1 vegetarian person. Is there food options for vegetarians? Do we pay the full price now? Or is there a deposit we pay first?

      TravelerWritten May 2024

Would it possible to start earlier on august 11th or 10th? We intend to fly out of Mongolia 24th august, so some buffer would be nice and might allows for customisation. Is that possible for this trip? If we want to add a day or 2 to the trip how much extra per person do you think we need?

    • Tour MongoliaOperatorWritten May 2024

It is possible to start earlier. If you add one day price is US$230 per person, for 2 days price is 440 per person.

    • J

      Jamie

      TravelerWritten May 2024

Is it possible to customise the tour to spend a couple of days in Khovsgol National Park? If really needed we are open to taking domestic flights that help us shorten travel time and visit more places. Please help find economical deals and discounts. If we take flights do we get the same guide and what's the luggage allowance? To confirm the road travel is 'the Japanese/Korean off-road MPVs such as Mitsubishi Delica/Hyundai Grand Starex' which has air conditioning?

    • Tour MongoliaOperatorWritten May 2024

We will send a customized program by the next day. Domestic flights to/from Khuvsgul/Ulaanbaatar will suit best, but we should check availabilities.

Are mosquitoes bad in Mongolia in July? Do I need to wear warm clothes in Mongolia in July?

    • Tour MongoliaOperatorWritten April 2024

Mosquitoes are not a problem to travel through this route. Of course there will be some, but not that difficult to travel around. You would need a good jacket for rain and wind, but not necessary to bring a winter jacket. It can be a warm flex jacket.
