    Reply from: Irish Experience Tours
Hi Sean, Thank you for your feedback. We're delighted you enjoyed the coastal scenery and had such a positive experience with your Driver-Guide. We appreciate your comments regarding the pace. Our 11-day tour covers a lot of Ireland, but flexibility is also a very important part of how we tour. Everything on our itinerary is there for you to enjoy, but we don't believe a holiday should feel compulsory. If you'd rather skip an excursion, enjoy a lie-in, spend an afternoon exploring independently or simply relax, that's absolutely fine. For example, Day 3 offers the opportunity for a relaxed morning in Killarney, while on Day 4 guests return to Dingle at 1pm after exploring Slea Head and can enjoy the remainder of the day at their own pace. On Days 6 and 7 Connemara and the Aran Islands are included experiences, but guests who would prefer to slow things down are completely free to stay in Galway, relax and explore the city instead. The final morning in Belfast also gives guests the choice of sightseeing, visiting Titanic Belfast or simply enjoying a relaxed morning until check out time. We particularly agree with your comments about Lough Eske Castle. It's a wonderful property and deserves more time, which is why from 2027 we're extending the stay to two nights, giving guests much more opportunity to enjoy the castle, gardens and surroundings. Thank you again for travelling with Irish Experience Tours and for taking the time to share your feedback.

    Flights / Transfers
    • Irish Experience ToursOperatorWritten February 2026

we don't book flights but perhaps I can advise you on flights to Ireland - where are you based?

    • Irish Experience ToursOperatorWritten February 2026

Main Travel Option: Fly from Reno–Tahoe International Airport (RNO) to Dublin Airport (DUB). You'll typically have one stopover in a U.S. city such as San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles (LAX), Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DFW), or Denver (DEN) before the transatlantic leg. Total travel time: Around 13–16+ hours depending on connection and layover time. Airlines flying this route include United, Delta, American, Air Canada, British Airways and others via partner connections.

Do you change hotels each day? Is there free time each day? Are you dropped off at hotel each day as we will not have a car. Are all parts of this tour guided on a bus or van?

    • Irish Experience ToursOperatorWritten February 2026

Do you change hotels each day? Yes & no - 5 single nights, one double night and one triple night. This tour is designed with a relaxed pace in mind. You'll enjoy multi-night stays in key locations (including 3 nights in Galway and 2 nights in Dingle), so you're not packing up every morning. This gives you time to settle in and properly enjoy each area. One night stays in Kinsale, Killarney, Donegal, Derry & Belfast

Is there free time each day?
Yes. While each day includes guided sightseeing and highlights, there is free time built in most days, particularly in the afternoons and evenings. This allows you to explore on your own, relax, enjoy local pubs or restaurants, or simply take things at your own pace.

Free time in Killarney National Park - from early morning until late afternoon
Free time in Dingle town - from lunch time until next day
Full free day in Galway city
Free time in Belfast - from early morning until afternoon.

Are we dropped off at the hotel each day (since we won't have a car)?
Absolutely. You'll be transported door-to-door throughout the tour. Each day ends with drop-off at your accommodation, and morning pick-ups are from the hotel as well — you won't need a car at any point.

Are all parts of the tour guided on a bus or van?
By a luxury bus. The tour is led by a professional driver-guide traveling with you in a comfortable small-group vehicle. They handle all driving, logistics, storytelling, and local insights. At certain sites, you'll also have time to explore independently once you arrive.

Overall, it's a wonderful balance of expert guidance, comfort, and freedom, without the stress of planning or driving yourself.

    Group size
    • Irish Experience ToursOperatorWritten November 2025

Our Ultimate tours run with a maximum of 16 guests. This size is intentionally kept small to ensure: A relaxed, intimate travel experience Easy access to local guides, stories, and culture Flexibility throughout the itinerary Plenty of space and comfort on the touring vehicl A friendly, social group atmosphere without feeling crowded. Most departures have a lovely mix of couples and friends travelling together, typically aged 40+, making it enjoyable and easy-going.

Is it possible for all three of us to share a room to save some money (instead of paying the upcharge for him to have his own room)? This is his graduation and 18th birthday present, so we want it to be special, but we are also on a budget. We are also interested in possibly arriving in Dublin a couple of days early. Could you help us arrange accommodations for the extra couple of nights as well?

Yes, no problem at all — you can absolutely book three people into a twin room with an extra bed. When booking, just choose twin room x 3 and we'll make sure your son is accommodated in the same room with you. And yes, we'd be delighted to help arrange your pre-tour accommodation in Dublin for the extra nights. Many of our guests like to arrive early to settle in, explore the city, and ease into the adventure, so we can take care of that for you.

if you book twin room x 3 we can book a triple room. Large double bed and one single bed. I can try for three single beds in one room where possible. The tour will be no problem for him. I suggest you book the premium hotel package to avoid stairs only accommodations

Yes of course you can. I would suggest you book premium hotel package if you have an issue with stairs.
