Sam· December 2nd, 2024We were very pleased with this India/Nepal tour. The guides were knowledgeable and freely shared their opinions. The sites on the itinerary did a great job of getting the highlights into a short tour. Note that the tour is private, so you can (and we did) ask for some customization. There is a good mix of wildlife/monuments/temples/culture. The bird sanctuary was spectacular. Kathmandu overdelivered ! Markets, temples, and the Himalayas. Unfortunately, the air is opaque, so you must leave the city to appreciate the views. The national park in Nepal was good, but possibly not worth the 3 days it took to get there, see it, and get back. There were 2 of us on this tour, which allowed traveling by car. Good beers ! (so-so in India). Riding in a car (vs bus) gives a much better feel for the driving culture. The drivers/guides/tour-operator were very attentive and did not let us wander to any unsafe places. Tour operator was in daily contact. Hotels were adequate and what we expected for the prices. Note that the price on TourRadar does not include the 18% tax, plane ticket to Nepal (~$400), or tickets to the culture sites/parks. It was possible to start or leave from Nepal, possibly saving money on your ticket. As always in developing countries carry: toilet paper, LOTS of small bills, hand sanitizer, and in this case N-95 masks for the smoke. The tour was well-organized and covered all the major highlights of both countries, including the iconic Taj Mahal and several national parks. The trip started in Delhi, where we were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. We spent the first few days exploring the bustling city, visiting historical sites such as the Red Fort and Humayun's Tomb. The highlight of Delhi was definitely the rickshaw ride through Old Delhi, where we got to experience the chaos and vibrancy of the city up close. Next, we headed to Agra to see the magnificent Taj Mahal. The tour guide provided us with interesting facts and stories about the monument, making the experience even more special. The Taj Mahal itself was even more breathtaking in person than in pictures. From Agra, we traveled to the Ranthambore National Park, which is known for its population of tigers. We were lucky enough to spot a few of these majestic creatures during our safari. The park also had a variety of other wildlife, including deer, monkeys, and various bird species. The next stop was Jaipur, also known as the Pink City for its vibrant buildings. We visited the Amber Fort, which was a beautiful and well-preserved fort with stunning views of the city. The tour also included a visit to a local village, where we got to interact with the villagers and learn about their way of life. After Jaipur, we crossed the border into Nepal and headed to Chitwan National Park. This was one of the highlights of the trip for me as we got to do a jungle safari on elephant back, which was a unique and thrilling experience. We also saw rhinos, crocodiles, and various bird species during our safari. The tour ended in Kathmandu, where we got to explore the city's ancient temples and palaces. The tour guide took us to some off-the-beaten-path places that we wouldn't have found on our own. We also got to witness a traditional Nepali dance performance, which was a beautiful cultural experience. Overall, I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the best of India and Nepal in just 14 days. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the tour guides were excellent. It was a perfect mix of cultural experiences, wildlife sightings, and historical sites. I left with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for these two incredible countries.Show more

We visited some of the most famous wildlife reserves in India and Nepal, and got to experience the local culture and sights. We also got to visit the Taj Mahal, which was absolutely breathtaking. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly, and they gave us lots of interesting information about the wildlife and the area.
