Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll land at Cairo airport and get transferred to your hotel. The afternoon and evening are free for you to settle in after traveling. If your flight arrives early, there's an optional backstreets tour that takes you through quieter neighborhoods and hidden spots around the city, mixed in with some of the more well-known sites.

- Day 2
Cairo
Start the day at the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, including the Great Pyramid of Cheops which stood as the tallest man-made structure for 3,800 years. After that, you'll stop at a government-run papyrus shop, then head to Saqqara to walk through the Pyramid of Djoser and the burial grounds around it. You'll return to Cairo by evening.

- Day 3
Cairo
Spend the morning at the new Grand Egyptian Museum with its 490,000-square-meter space showing King Tutankhamun's treasures and objects from Egypt and elsewhere, plus virtual reality exhibits. Later, head to The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to see the Royal Mummies' Hall. By evening, board the night train heading to Aswan.

- Day 4
Aswan
You'll arrive in Aswan this afternoon and take a boat trip out to Agilkia Island to see Philae Temple, which was built for the goddess Isis. There's also a stop at a perfume oil shop showing traditional methods from 2700 BC and different essential and fragrant oils. Your evening is free to check out Aswan's markets and souqs on your own.

- Day 5
Aswan to Felucca Cruise
This morning you can choose an optional trip to Abu Simbel to see King Ramses II's temple with its four large statues. Afterward, board your traditional felucca for a two-night cruise down the Nile River. If you'd rather have more comfort, upgrading to a 5-star Nile cruise is available.

- Day 6
Felucca Cruise
Spend the day relaxing on the felucca with chances to sunbathe and swim as it moves toward Kom Ombo. You'll tour the temple there, which has a unique symmetrical design and honors both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. From there, the felucca continues downstream along the Nile.

- Day 7
Luxor
Early morning you'll leave the felucca and drive to Luxor. The rest of your day is open for exploring the city at your own pace. There's an optional evening tour of Luxor Temple available when it's lit up with hundreds of lights for a nice nighttime experience.

- Day 8
Luxor
Spend the morning in the Valley of the Kings looking at the decorated tombs of important pharaohs. Then visit Queen Hatshepsut's temple and see the Colossi of Memnon statues, which were built to honor King Amenhotep III. In the afternoon, walk through Karnak Temple with its Avenue of Sphinxes and the tall Hypostyle Hall. Later that evening, catch the night train heading back to Cairo.

Cairo
You'll arrive back in Cairo this morning. The day is all yours to wander around the capital however you'd like. Check out the famous Khan el Khalili bazaar or go see the Citadel of Saladin. If you'd prefer a guided experience, there's an optional Cairo city tour available.

Cairo
Your Egyptian trip ends with a free transfer to Cairo airport for your flight. If you're interested in staying longer, you can add a few extra days for a beach break at the Red Sea to do more exploring.
