Is there electricity available each night for my husband's CPAP machine?

Most of the accommodations we use will have electricity available, including the hotel, village guesthouse, and apartment stays. However, for the farm stay, it's important to note that some may have limited or intermittent power.

Is it possible to get more detailed information about the hikes on Day 3 and Day 4 - in particular the length and elevation changes?

On day 3, You'll also have the option of hiring a local guide to hike to the abandoned village of Molle. This approximately 5-kilometre round-trip hike involves about 600 metres of elevation gain into the mountains. As there are a number of river crossings on our hike in the Shala River region, please bring trekking sandals or reef shoes suitable for walking in water. Past travellers have found the nature of today's hikes challenging, so please ensure you are ready to get wet and walk on steep and uneven ground that may be slippery at times.

Do the overnight stays have private bathrooms? I am over 80 years old, and would like a tour that arranges my bags being moved from room to room. How would you rate this tour with respect to difficulty?

On this trip all of the accommodations with have ensuite bathrooms so you will not have to share with other members of your group. On a physical scale this trip is rated a 3 out of 5. The guide was excellent, the hotels were clean, comfortable, and the hotel staff were overall helpful and friendly. More attention should be given to the varieties of vegetarian food in the selection of restaurants for the group. After more than 20 km a day, salads as a dinner is not enough. Moreover, if you organize a sea food tasting, have an option for vegetarians or people who are allergic to sea food. I just left the group at this point and walked by myself because I was not going to sit and watch people eat while I have no food options. Again, salad is not a substitute for what the other group members had. Also, the farewell dinner was heavily based on meat dishes. As a vegetarian, I only had salad and one tapas. In future trips before signing up, I will inquire about the food options for vegetarians before I join Interpid trips.Show more

  What I'd like to know are the lengths (in km) and elevation changes for the non-optional hike on day 3 and the upstream hike on day 4, if possible.

  Day 3: Shala River - Depending on the level of the water, we can go hiking through the bed of the Shala river for 1 or 2 kilometers. The terrain gets too rough after that and is not easy to continue up the trail that goes up in the mountain. The terrain is soft with rocks and sand but from times to times you need to go inside the water which can get as high as 1m 50 centimeters. Day 4: Further up the Shala River - This is the trail that eventually brings from Shala river bed to the Molla e Shoshit abandoned village. It is an easy walk of 3.5 kilometers. It has a change of elevation of about 470 meters. Estimated hiking time totaling about 3h30 minutes total. It is an easy to moderate hike for experienced and fit hikers.
