I am very interested in this tour. I have a mobility issue and use a cane or rollator. Would this tour still be one that we can reserve?

    • GJ TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

Most of the activities are very easy, the only one that is considered difficult for those with mobility issues is Vatnshellir, that is a cave with a long spiral stair. You can make a decision on the spot if you want to join that activity or not.

What is the difference in group size for the small and large group and the types of vehicles used for each?

    • GJ TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

Usually for a small tour we use a Sprinter and for a large group we use an Atego or Setra, please note that which vehicle we use is based on the final number of participants.

  • D

    Denise

    Asked on September 26th, 2024

What happens if we do not see the northern lights? Is there a high percentage to see them? Can we do another similat trip if we do not see them?

    Tour Details
    • GJ TravelOperatorWritten September 2024

Our tours have so much more on the itinerary, some must see attractions and activities. The longer you stay in Iceland the better the chances are of seeing the Northern Lights. We choose the hotels as remote as possible for this tour, so you are able to see them from the hotel garden if the conditions are right. The weather in Iceland is a big factor if you will see them or not. It is impossible for us to say in advance if you will see them or not. This tour does though have a good success rate of seeing them, around 80%. You can always book another tour with us if you do not see them, though you will need to pay for another tour.
