I am considering your Northern Thailand 8 day tour in March 2025. I have been warned to not go to northern Thailand at that time due to the bad smog due to crop burning that time of year (lasts from Jan to March). What is your tours experience?

Based on my experience, the majority of smog from agricultural activities will occur in March and mainly in Chiang Mai. So it won't affect your trip too much, because this package includes some other places such as Kanchanaburi, Lampang, Chiang Rai... Honestly, March is a high season in Thailand and we have a lot of travelers in Chiang Mai and surrounding this time. I haven't received any feedback or complaints about it. I think you can totally enjoy it.

We were a group of 6 persons (me and my wife, our 2 boys with 3 and 6 years as well as 2 grandmas, so a 3-generation trip). We opted for a private trip as we were already 6 persons and also for the upgrade for 4-star hotels. The 8 days went by very fast as the program is full and you really experience a lot in these days. From waterfall, temples, the old capital of Thailand, Bridge on the River Kwai, the Thailand countryside, Railway and floating market and all up north to the very nice city of Chiang Mai. Our guide Monica and our driver Sun were so nice and well organized. Monica organized everything and gave valueable explanations, and the driver was so excellent, even with the sometimes chaotic traffic his driving was so smooth. I adjusted the program a bit to take out some additional activities as otherwise it would have been too much for our small kids. Also there the communication upfront with PrestiGo was very good. 2-3 days involve quite a long time of driving but it was really manageable. And also the hotels were great, we had the 4-star, I can not even image how good the 5-star hotels are :) So overall very nice trip, we would do it again definitely!Show more

We finished an 8-day trip in Northern Thailand, starting in Bangkok and ending in Chiang Mai. It was a very enjoyable trip with lots of good memories. Our guide was excellent and always helpful throughout the journey. The driver was good and drove safely. The hotels were a good choice and in convenient locations, which made the trip comfortable and easy. We really enjoyed traveling by road and seeing different parts of Thailand along the way. Overall, it was a well-organized trip and we had a great experience.Show more
