Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed review! We’re thrilled you had a special experience in Naples and Sorrento and that Giovanni made your trip so fun and informative—he really loves connecting with travelers and making the group feel like family. Hayley

    Asked on January 7th, 2026

your pricing says accommodation is included - that the price is based on a private single room but upon going to book- this seems like this is not an option but rather comes up with DIY accommodation included - I am traveling single and would want a private single room but am on a budget - what are the pricing implications for this.

    Accommodation
    Price / Availability
    Single supplement
    • Italy on a Budget ToursOperatorWritten January 2026

The private single room option is not listed as a standard choice because it has very limited availability and must be requested from the accommodation for each departure. The DIY accommodation option you saw is indeed available, but as you noticed, it does not include lodging, giving you the flexibility to choose your own one based on preferences & budget but still joining the tour for the social part. If you're on a budget, I would recommend the multi-share option, which allows you to stay in shared rooms: in Sorrento, you would be sharing with 2 people. In Florence, shared dorms typically host 4 to 6 guests. This is a very nice & safe way to socialize with other travelers, and it keeps the trip logistically easy and cost-effective. If you would like, I can check availability for the private single room for your specific dates and provide the pricing so you can decide what works best.

      Hayley

      TravelerWritten January 2026

I would like for privacy & safety reasons prefer a private room - I am a bit worried with the DIY Accommodation between transportation logistics and bookings/money that would become less enjoyable to keep up with separately - I would love to explore the option of booking through you guys.

    • Italy on a Budget ToursOperatorWritten January 2026

As per your request, we have checked the cost of the single supplement for the April 2nd departure, which amounts to €500 and would need to be paid separately.

    • H

      Hayley

      TravelerWritten January 2026

just to clarify, the 500 covers 8 days (7 nights) in a private room in each location correct?

    • Italy on a Budget ToursOperatorWritten January 2026

Yes correct. € 500 is the supplement to be added to the "Hostel & Glamping: Private Room for 2" option for a single room for the 6 nights included in the tour. The accommodation type will still be camping village & hostel.

    • H

      Hayley

      TravelerWritten January 2026

The website does not allow me to book that option without the name and email of another person booking the trip separately

    • Italy on a Budget ToursOperatorWritten January 2026

At this stage, you may proceed by entering a placeholder for the second traveler. For example, you could use "Single Supplement" as the name and a generic email address. This should allow you to complete the reservation without any issues.

Interested in exploring parts of this tour and would like to visit Venice as well. Could you advise if there is an option to add Venice to this adventure?

    Tour Details
    • Italy on a Budget ToursOperatorWritten December 2025

We're happy to confirm that there are several ways to include Venice in the itinerary: Add our Venice City Break experience, opt for a longer tour that includes Amalfi Coast, Florence & Tuscany, Rome and Venice, or book the original Italy Must-See Tour and then add curated daily activities in Venice.

    Marilyn

    Asked on November 6th, 2025

I'm single and don't want to share a room. How much would the tour cost me?

    Price / Availability
    Single supplement
    • Italy on a Budget ToursOperatorWritten November 2025

Since you'd prefer a single room, please note that a single supplement applies for this tour. To provide you with the correct pricing, could you kindly confirm whether you'd like a single room in a top-rated hostel & bungalow, or if you'd prefer a single room in a hotel instead?

      Marilyn

Can this tour be offered in Spanish?

    Tour Details
    • Italy on a Budget ToursOperatorWritten September 2025

The tour on Thursday, 16 October 2025 is available in English only. Our guide is Italian and does speak a little bit of Spanish, so she could assist occasionally if needed. As an alternative, we'd be happy to consider: A private tour tailored for your travelers in Spanish, or a partially guided itinerary with pre-booked accommodations, transfers, and guided activities, giving them structure and support without traveling with a group 24/7.

    Age Range
    Tour Details
    • Italy on a Budget ToursOperatorWritten June 2025

We're not strict about the age range—guests over 39 are absolutely welcome, as long as they're young at heart, comfortable with walking, and happy to share the experience with a younger crowd. This tour is mainly tailored to 18–39-year-old travelers, and the standard accommodation options are shared hostel dorms with bunk beds. For more comfort, especially for families, we'd be happy to offer you an upgrade to a private triple hotel room.

    • J

      Jacqueline

      TravelerWritten June 2025

can give me a quote for an upgrade to a private triple hotel room

    • Italy on a Budget ToursOperatorWritten June 2025

The total tour cost with the hotel upgrade would be €1,949 per person, instead of €1,499 for the dormitory-based option. Triple rooms are quite rare in Italy, and availability is limited, so we recommend confirming as soon as possible.

    • J

      Jacqueline

      TravelerWritten June 2025

We can stay in a twin shared room, not necessarily a triple bed room.

    • Italy on a Budget ToursOperatorWritten June 2025

The accommodation will be in a hostel, and the room will be equipped with bunk beds. Since you're a group of three, the third guest would need to pay a single supplement in order to have their own bed in a separate room.

I am worried about the dorma, my kids are 16 (girl and 18 (boy). Can we all be in the same dorm? is there internet connection?

    • Italy on a Budget ToursOperatorWritten June 2025

Shared dormitory accommodation is unfortunately not available for minors in Italy. We would recommend upgrading to a triple hotel room. This option would allow all three of you to stay comfortably together. The total tour cost with the hotel upgrade would be €1,899 per person, instead of €1,499 for the dormitory-based option. Triple rooms are quite rare in Italy, and availability is limited. Regarding internet access – while high-speed internet is widely available across most of Italy, please note that in coastal and mountainous areas like the Amalfi Coast, connectivity can be more limited due to local infrastructure.
