Salt Lake City
You'll arrive in Salt Lake City this evening, situated between the Wasatch Range and the Great Salt Lake. After checking in, head to a welcome dinner with wine where you'll meet the other travelers on this trip.

- Day 2
Salt Lake City to Jackson
Start by touring the State Capitol building, then drive through Logan Canyon and cross the Wasatch Mountain Range to Bear Lake Summit. Stop for lunch overlooking the turquoise waters, and afterward continue north along the Oregon Trail to Jackson. You'll have time to walk through boutique galleries and see the famous elk antler arch in the town square.

Jackson to Yellowstone National Park
From your lodging, you'll see the Grand Tetons rising 13,775 feet from the valley floor. There's an option to take a scenic float down the Snake River through Grand Teton National Park. Then you enter Yellowstone, where you can see geothermal features, wildlife including bears and wolves, and varied landscapes. You'll stay overnight at one of Yellowstone's national park lodges.

Yellowstone National Park
Take a relaxed morning walk through Yellowstone's rainbow-tinted hot springs and geysers with your travel director. See colorful mud pots and watch Old Faithful shoot water over 120 feet into the air. By afternoon, explore the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and drive through Hayden Valley where wolves, bears, elk, and bison roam.

Drive through Shoshone Canyon and the Absaroka Rocky Mountains to reach Cody, a Wild West town. Visit the award-winning Buffalo Bill Centre to learn about Western history, art, and natural history. Later, head to the Ranch at UCross in the Bighorn National Forest. Enjoy cocktails at the historic Ranch House bar, followed by a home-cooked dinner and live country and bluegrass music around a fire pit.

Spend your morning living frontier life with a horseback ride alongside a ranch hand, or try fishing and relax in the surroundings. Afterward, visit Devils Tower, a geological feature sacred to the Lakota and other tribes. Then explore Spearfish Canyon, known for its woodland beauty and ancient limestone palisades carved by creeks.
