  WOW....Doesn't accurately describe my Almalfi coast holiday. I traveled alone and was treated like a Prince! I was privately chauffeured by drivers who were professional expert tour guides. I was placed in either a classy clean Porsche, or Mercedes. Yvonne at Tui bent over backwards answering every inquiry within minutes not hours or days. She was attentive and genuinely concerned answering my pestering concerns and comments. I don't think there is a better tour administrator in the world! I highly recommend using Tui for this trip. Not to mention the wonderful excursions like Pompeii, Capri, Almalfi, Limoncello making, and a private tour of Naples including pizza making which were all absolutely amazing and fun. The only criticism is that the accomodations weren't the best, especially in Maoril and Naples. But otherwise decent and comfortable. As a side note Tui, also extended my trip to Rome which included an enriching private tour of the eternal city and a pleasant rapid train ride back to Naples. In conclusion I really enjoyed this trip and I feel like it was worth the cost. Obviously a shout out to tour radar for providing this worthy option. Do this trip, you won't regret it!Show more

  The Amalfi Coast is stunning and the people of Italy were very welcoming and helpful. That being said, there were several issues to overcome with my trip. First, a shout out to Dario, my Pompeii guide - excellent! My first stop was supposed to be 3 nights in Sorrento. My hotel was actually in S'Agnello - an hour walk\$22 taxi ride outside of Sorrento. There is a bus stop but it was 30+minutes away. In addition, the closest restaurants to my hotel were at least a 20 minute walk. As there wasn't a restaurant or even vending machine on the premises, this was a problematic for someone who has some mobility challenges. The hotel was NOT 3 star - it was older, run down with very few amenities. The pool was very nice. 2nd day was to be the Capri tour (amazing!) and, in the original outline it says 'you will be picked up at your hotel'. It was a 7:40 am pickup. The voucher, however, said there was a meeting point. Name of meeting point was provided but no address so I missed the pickup. Another car was sent and all was good - thanks to the folks at the hotel with the language assist. 2nd stop was Amalfi and the accommodations were much better. However, for the lemon grove tour (also amazing, personal and very enjoyable), voucher said I was to be picked up AT my hotel. I called the day before to explain that wouldn't be possible as the hotel was in the square and vehicles were not allowed. Was assured that 'no - driver will be in front of your hotel'. Okay. Next morning - no driver, I called and was told 'he's there waiting for you'. Several calls later, learned there are multiple hotels with the same name and he wasn't at mine. Again, managed to work it out thanks to the kindness of the Italian people. We had a similar issue when it was time to transfer to Napoli where the accommodations were STUNNING. Rather than connect me directly to my driver so that we could find each other, it was 30 minutes of 'he's on his way', 'car trouble', etc, Turns out, he was there the whole time but I didn't have a description of the vehicle (despite asking for one) and he didn't have a description of me or where I was sitting (despite telling them exactly where I was and what I was wearing). My guide for the walking tour in Napoli was wonderful. Next day, was scheduled for a pizza class and the name of the restaurant was provided but not the address. Again, there were multiple locations & driver took me to the wrong one. The Italian people stepped up once again and made it work. My biggest disappointment was that I didn't get to spend much time in Sorrento. I did walk to the bus station one day and went in to town but a storm came through not long after I got there. I was soaked and ended up going back to my hotel. There were many challenges on this visit but, overall, I loved Italy and hope to visit again.Show more

Sant'Agnello is the next town along from Sorrento as you head east along the coast. It's a popular choice for visitors who don't want to be in the centre of Sorrento but still be close to the sea and have lots of options in terms of bars, restaurants and shops. The town is split into two parts, as you got to see, the town centre with its distinctive church is a bustling area which sits astride the main road between Sorrento and the other towns on the Sorrento Peninsula. Down towards the sea the town shares the same dramatic cliff-side views as its neighbouring towns and one of the best places to see this is from is Piazzetta Marinella where you'll find a bar/restaurant and also the entrance to La Marinella Beach Club with its gorgeous bright blue water. I am sure that our staff could have suggested many restaurants and snack bars all within walking distance from your hotel. Such as La Mariella, Mediterraneo sky bar and Cocu. We have a dedicated line active H24 for our value clients. We are sorry to hear that the hotel did not reflect your expectation and I would like to apologize for the frustration you've been experiencing there. I am so sorry to learn that there have been so many issues with your pick up time. We kindly ask to all our clients to call our dedicated line to reconfirm the meeting points and pick up time at least 24 hrs before the service booked. The huge amount of bookings and some issues (like traffic for example) outside our control may require a greater understanding. Once again, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
