  You need more than one day in Rome. The Vatican City tour was three hours of walking (I’m 71) so trying to do another three hour tour of the Colosseum in Rome was more than I could do. Trying to arrange a ride there was very difficult, not knowing the city. I wasted $182 on a tour that I bought separate from the you offered. Yours was lacking in comparison. The breakfasts that were provided were not impressive either. The eggs were always soggy and the bacon was undercooked and looked disgusting. Under cooked pork is a great to get sick. Our breakfasts consisted of coffee and a pastry. Never once saw waffles, pancakes or hash browns offered. The lunches were only so-so. Never got to choose from a menu. It was eat what you’re given only. Not always appealing. Stefano, God bless him, is a very likable and fun guy but the instructions were lengthy and the heavy accent made it difficult to comprehend. We had a terrible time getting back to the hotel in Venice. It took us four hours to get back. Our only choice was to either walk to the people mover or take a water taxi. My hips don’t allow to walk long distances without a great deal of pain so we took a water taxi. The employee for the company that provides the boats directed us to a section she called “B2” but we couldn’t find it. A different employee advised us that there was no pick up point by that name. We finally found a dock where the LED sign that mentioned the place that Stefano told us to go to (Tronchetto) but after riding around for 30 minutes, I asked the boat captain when we would reach the Tronchetta stop and he said, “We don’t go there.” We finally found a different boat that was going in the vicinity of the people mover. We were dropped off and were told which direction to walk but that only got us lost. We spent over 4 hours trying to get back to the hotel. Most of the people we dealt with were not very friendly and I don’t believe they gave us correct information. All in all, it was far more frustrating than it should have been.   The bus tour is fine but very rushed. Long walks over a mile from the drop off points to the main piazzas is a killer for many people. Dealing with Tour Radar and Click tours is very very frustrating and I hated waiting until just eight days before departure to find out the hotels. The hotel in Florence, the Raffaello, was sub par. The hotel in Venice is far across a bridge in a dark neighborhood with no other stores or restaurants nearby. In Rome, the St Martin is very modern and nice but this tour company books the cheapest room looking into an interior atrium with no daylight. The tour was saved by Sabrina the tour leader and driver Luigi who work for Carrillo Tours in Rome which actually runs the tour. Sabrina is inspired and is a gem. Italy is beautiful it very crowded at times. If you look through the Tour Radar site you will often see the exact same tour offered by different tour wholesalers at very different prices. Search for the one offered by Carrillo Tours. It is the genuine article. Don’t be fooled.Show more

  This was our 1st tour. We were on the go and seeing new sights all the time. That was fantastic for me and my teenage daughter. There was plenty of time that we had time on our own to explore. We would do it again. I think things I would have wanted to know prior were that there are no bathrooms on the bus- they were more than willing to stop but just was surprising. There are 3rd parties included. I thought we would have one tour guide going with us to everything, not the case. I didn’t know when I had to pay for excursions in Euro, and I didn’t want to carry a bunch around , so I found myself in a pickle a couple times and all ATM’s are not equal. Lastly, I know it’s a tourist thing but there was more soliciting on adventures than I expected. With all that being said, I still 100% would do a tour again. In my opinion & my daughters, it was the best way to see, learn and experience SO much!Show more

  Not well organized, tour guide was hard to understand, changed her mind on Departure times, instructions were not clear and she was very condescending to some people. There were additional hotel charges that tourists had to pay, a city tax that I was not aware of. On the last day we had an included tour of the Vatican and cistine Chapple which wonderful and the guide told everyone that the tour co. (I love Rome) was giving us a complimentary tour of the colluseam after. When we got to the meeting point, my name was not on the list and I was not allowed in. Talking to others on this trip, it appears that we all booked with different tour companies resulting in a confusing end to a otherwise great trip. Italy is amazing and even with all the challenges of covid, not very cooperative weather and a less than ideal tour guide I would return anytime (just not too soon).Show more
