    Alison

    Asked on July 1st, 2025

I am comparing different Bhutan tours for November. I am keen to see the black neck cranes, immerge into the Bhutanese culture and nature. The nature walks are important and decent hotels as well. Does the name Premium and the higher price reflect better hotels?

    Tour Details
    • Intrepid PremiumOperatorWritten July 2025

Yes, the 'Premium' label reflects an elevated level of comfort, with stays in carefully selected, higher-end accommodations that offer enhanced service, comfort, and amenities compared to standard tours.

      TravelerWritten July 2025

Would appreciate clarifications about my questions. Would we be able to see the black necked cranes in the wild and join a 2 hour hike?

    • Intrepid PremiumOperatorWritten July 2025

On day 6 you will visit the centre of the Royal Society for Protection of Nature (RSPN) where you'll learn about the vulnerable, black-necked cranes. Wild cranes will only be visible during the winter months, but if you visit outside this period, you may still have the chance to see black-necked cranes that are being rehabilitated in the centre. In the afternoon, join your leader on a gentle 2-hour hike around the valley and learn about the flora and fauna that call this preserve home.

Since this is a Premium tour the accommodations will be at a local 4 - 4.5 star rating sometimes even 5 stars. We are able to accommodate dietary restrictions as long as you let us know a head of time so that our team to prepare. Please note that depending on the destination some dietary restrictions may be harder to accommodate so options may be limited and we advise to stock up on snacks just incase.

Yes, you can skip any included activities by informing your tour leader during the welcome meeting. Once you have booked the trip with us, please confirm this to us so that we can keep our local team informed about this.
