Our CEO will be with you at all times during the included activities and services. They are there to ensure your safety and to offer an in-depth experience of the local culture.

I am interested in the group trip. The age of the fellow travelers and whether there are solo travelers is very important. Could you let me know how old the fellow travelers are and whether there are also solo travelers.

Currently, we have 3 travellers booked for the Monday 15 December, 2025 departure, all females, all booked solo and all born in the 1980's.

Do you have any available dates for July?

We two departures with availability in July, however, it's on request: Fri, 25 Jul - Wed, 30 Jul (with 2 request spots available), Mon, 28 Jul - Sat, 02 Aug (with 9 request spots available).

I'm not sure about my arrival-departure flights arrangements and would like to clarify before booking both, tour and flights.

We cannot help with flights, if you did need more help you could look at booking the flights with a travel agency. The arrival airport would be Ponta Delgada PDL, and the closest finishing airport is Lajes TER.

Could we stay in a triple room during the trip? Could you guide us in Spanish language?

All of our tours are led by English speaking guides, so Spanish would not be possible. They are local so will speak the local language (in this case, Portuguese). We only offer triple rooms if one of your group are under the age of 18, otherwise rooms would be twin or single.

Are there requirements for what is needed to bring with us?

No requirements for what to bring with you. Ideally hiking boots or shoes are good to have. You can also bring hiking poles if you wanted. Here is the packing list for a general idea of items.

How many km a day is covered daily, what is the elevation of the hikes?

The physical level of this tour is 3 out of 5. The hiking is an average of 8 to 15 km per day. The biggest elevation gain hike is just under 400m with an average of 200 m to 400 m elevation gain. If you are active people who enjoy hiking and are regularly active in your lifestyle this would be a good tour for you.

When is your next available dates for this tour? I would like to join.

We have the following departure date available but it is in our 'Late Request Period'. This means it is not an instant confirmation and we would need to check we definitely have the availability as we are so close to departure. This would take 2-3 business days. 22MAY25 - 27MAY25. The hotels, food and CEOs were great and Ramiro was particularly passionate about his island (Terceiras). The hikes were described as moderate (3) but I think some of them have a greater degree of difficulty. Even some younger experienced hikers thought they should be rated a 4. I loved the awesome views and the hikes themselves and completed them all, hopefully without holding back the group. I loved the tour and very glad I did it, but it was more difficult than expected - with very rough terrain and steep climbs over rocks which made it hard at times to keep up with the younger hikers. Our group was fantastic - such lovely people and I enjoyed the company immensely.Show more

  For this adventure you would fly into the Ponta Delgada airport. From Ponta Delgada airport (PDL), you can reach the city centre in a few ways. You can take the Aerobus shuttle to stop 8 (Avenida Infante Dom Henrique) which is a central location in Ponta Delgada, within walking distance of hotels and Igreja de São Sebastião.

  Spring is one of the best months to visit and the temperatures will be 18 °C (64.4 °F). Bring comfortable clothing as well as a light jacket for mornings/evenings and although it should be dry you should bring a rainjacket as well just in case.

  This tour Hiking the Azores is an 'Active' style so the majority of travellers are usually in their 30s and 40s. The average age for the majority of our tours is 55+ however we have many different styles of tours. Our 'Classic', 'Geluxe' and 'National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures' collections of tours generally have the 55+ demographics. Being an Active style of tour it is focused on hiking and being quite active every day. We do not currently have any other tours to the Azores. But we do offer over 800 tours to all seven continents. Most of the hiking days of this tour will be 3 to 7 hours of hiking.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
