You'll touch down at Bangkok International Airport where someone from the tour company meets you. After getting transferred to your hotel without a guide, the rest of the day is open. Maybe grab a traditional Thai massage, try some local food, or head up to a rooftop bar to watch the sunset.

- Day 2
Bangkok
Today you'll visit three major Buddhist temples with a guide. Start at Wat Traimit to see the Golden Buddha, then move through Chinatown to Wat Pho for the Reclining Buddha. After that, check out the Grand Palace complex with its royal buildings and Emerald Buddha temple. The day wraps up at a lapidary factory where you can browse jewelry, handicrafts, and silk.

Bangkok - Maeklong Railway Market - Damnern Saduak Floating Market - Bangkok
Following breakfast at the hotel, head to Maeklong Railway Market where you'll watch vendors quickly pull back their stalls as the train passes through. Later, travel to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market where merchants in colorful clothes paddle canoes full of fresh produce along narrow waterways. It's a good chance to try bargaining and see how locals actually shop before heading back to Bangkok.

Bangkok to Chiang Mai
After breakfast, you'll transfer to Bangkok Airport for the included domestic flight to Chiang Mai (about 65 minutes). Once you arrive and get to your hotel, pickup happens at 1:30 pm for a guided tour of the old town and temples. You'll see Wat Suan Dok with its 48-meter chedi, then Wat Phra Sing and the 14th-century Wat Chedi Luang, finishing with nearby temples that have distinctive elephant statues.

Chiang Mai
After breakfast, go to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep for views over the city. You can either climb the 309-step naga staircase or use the included cable car. Once there, explore the temple's structures, then move on to Wararot Market and the flower market with its strong fragrance. Dinner is a traditional khan toke meal with northern Thai food and Lanna cultural shows.

You'll learn about the sanctuary while watching elephants in their natural space and taking photos. After lunch, drive toward Chiang Rai with a stop at Wat Rong Khun, the all-white temple from the 1990s with its distinctive mirror-covered exterior.

Chiang Rai - Golden Triangle - Phuket
After breakfast, go to Chiang Sean to see the Golden Triangle where Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand meet at the Mekong River. Take a roughly 30-minute boat ride around the area, then have lunch at a local restaurant. From there, drive to Chiang Rai Airport for your included flight back to Bangkok, then catch a connecting flight to Phuket (both included). Transfer to your hotel from Phuket Airport.
