Itinerary
- Day 1
Flight to Armenia
You'll depart today on your flight to Armenia, arriving early tomorrow morning in Yerevan. This is your travel day to kick things off.
- Day 2
Yerevan
After arriving in Yerevan early this morning, your guide meets you for a leisurely breakfast. You'll head to Republic Square to check out the museums and government buildings, then make your way up to the Cascade viewpoint for views across the city. Next, you'll see the Matenadaran with its collection of ancient Armenian manuscripts. Later in the afternoon, you'll drive to Echmiadzin Cathedral and stop by the medieval Zvartnots ruins on the way. The day wraps up with a visit to a cognac distillery.

- Day 3
Yerevan
This morning you'll head out to Garni village to see the 1st-century pagan temple, then move on to the Geghard cave monastery from the 13th century. Back in Yerevan, you'll visit the genocide memorial and finish with a tasting session at a cognac distillery.

Yerevan to Goris
You'll travel south toward Goris, starting with a stop at Chor Virap Monastery where Mount Ararat might be visible on clear days. After that, you'll hike through a narrow gorge to reach Noravank monastery. Later comes lunch with a local village family, then you'll choose between visiting Zorats Karer burial ground or Karahunj observatory before arriving in Goris for the evening.

Goris to Dilijan
Today features mountain scenery throughout. You'll ride the world's longest aerial tramway across the Vorotan River gorge to get to Tatev Monastery from the 9th century. Then you'll drive over Selim Pass toward Lake Sevan, stopping at a medieval caravanserai and the Noratus cemetery with its distinctive cross stones. In the evening, you'll explore the resort town of Dilijan and check out ceramics and woodcarving workshops before dinner.

Dilijan to Tbilisi
Starting from Alaverdi, you'll visit the UNESCO monasteries of Sanahin and Haghpat, wandering through their dark libraries and taking in the views from Haghpat's location on the high plateau. You'll cross into Georgia and meet your Georgian guide at the border. From there, you'll head to Tbilisi and have a traditional dinner to wrap up the day.

Tbilisi
You'll do a guided tour of Tbilisi starting from the fortress overlooking the city's rooftops and old town. Walking through the old town, you'll see the colorful houses, Art Nouveau buildings, and ornate balconies throughout the neighborhood. Then you'll stroll along Rustaveli Prospect, one of the city's main areas. If you're interested, the famous sulfur baths are optional after dinner.

Tbilisi to Kasbegi
You'll drive the historic Georgian Army Road into the high mountains. At Mtskheta, you'll visit the cathedral and monastery that are UNESCO sites. By noon, you'll reach Chateau Muchrani winery for lunch and wine tasting. After that, you'll see Ananuri Fortress overlooking Shinvali Reservoir, then cross the Cross Pass to reach Kasbegi in the high mountains with its panoramic views.

Kasbegi
This morning you'll do a moderate hike to Holy Trinity Church in good light, covering about 8 km with roughly 4 hours of walking and 470 meters of altitude gain. The church sits in front of the Kasbek glacier. In the afternoon, you'll drive to Dariali Gorge and visit Dariali Monastery. Dinner features traditional Georgian dumplings called chinkali.

Kasbegi to Kutaisi
After breakfast, you'll drive to Gori to see Stalin's birthplace (exterior only) and learn about Georgia's Soviet history. Then you'll head to Uplisziche, an ancient fortress and cave town roughly three thousand years old, which shows different cultures and periods throughout history. You'll continue to Kutaisi for a 2-night stay.

Kutaisi
You'll visit Martvili Gorge to see the turquoise waters of the Abasha River flowing through a 20 to 40 meter deep canyon. By boat, you'll explore the rocky nature reserve, finding caves, cascades, and a twelve-meter waterfall. After that, you'll head to Prometheus Cave for a guided tour learning about underground formations, stalactites, and stalagmites. Lunch and wine follow at a restaurant.

Kutaisi to Tbilisi
This morning you'll explore Kutaisi on a sightseeing tour, visiting Bagrati Cathedral and the Academy of Gelati, a UNESCO site. In the afternoon, you'll drive back to Tbilisi. Before the day ends, you'll have a farewell dinner at a traditional restaurant to celebrate completing your tour.
