We are thinking to travel in December early December,2024 wondering all we want to do is see and take photos of the avenue des baobabs and mainly see them. it's a short trip, we will fly into Antananarivo then will see if we can find a flight on same day or day after to morondava and then the day trip. The two of us took this tour, and—with some caveats—we were extremely satisfied. Many thanks to our drivers and to our guide, Veve. Anyone traveling to Madagascar must be prepared for the fact that they are visiting a poor country and must be willing to do without some of the comforts they take for granted—such as certain amenities in accommodations, the condition of the roads, or shopping options, including the ability to pay with credit cards. In return, however, you’ll be rewarded with unique natural experiences and a diverse landscape. Madagascar comes highly recommended for anyone looking for a special experience. Among many other things, we’ll always have fond memories of the lemurs, chameleons, geckos, the Tsingy, and the baobabs. For that, we were happy to put up with long car rides on pothole-ridden roads (sometimes lasting up to 12 hours). I almost forgot to mention an exceptionally positive restaurant experience. On the way to Tsingy National Park, we stopped in Belo-sur-Tsiribihina for lunch at the restaurant “MAD ZEBU.” We hadn’t expected to be served a meal of such high quality there, both in terms of taste and presentation (after all, you eat with your eyes first!).Show more

Tiana managed the tour planning attentively and was very supportive when the Airline has changed the flight date of the domestic flight, rearranging hotels and itinerary. Veve (the guide) and Ndzu (driver) were excellent and looked after us in the 8 days tour, knowledgeable, always smiling and positive and supportive when we didn't like one of the hotel in Kirindy, so they rearranged to go back to Morondava after the night visit at the forest, and rearranged the plans for the following day. Thanks also to Kelly and the Driver in Antananarivo for looking after us on the last day of the tour! We would highly recommend the agency.   Do you offer tour to Mondava from Antananarivo (with car)? Maybe with early departure on 12 May and late return on 15 May? What would be the cost? Is there a possibility to connect it with some other travelers?

  It is difficult to integrate into a group in Madagascar because travelers are not yet numerous. If you have four days (Departure on May 12 and return to Tan'a on May 15), going by car is the best way to discover many things. Along the road there are small villages where you can meet local people. In Morondava, apart from the Baobab alley and the sunset, you will have time to visit 'Kirindy' park, where there are three species of lemurs.

  I suggest an alternative circuit to the East in Andasibe. You can visit the National Park Analamazaotra and the private park 'Vakona'. You will have the opportunity to discover the biggest lemur of Madagascar 'Indri-Indri'. The price for a solo traveler is $694. The month of May is the beginning of the winter period, the East is a bit cool and humid.
