Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi
You'll arrive at Delhi airport or railway station where your tour representative meets you for a hotel transfer. After settling in, you head out to see both Old and New Delhi in one go. The itinerary includes the 12th-century Qutab Minar tower, ruins from ancient temples and palaces, plus that famous 4th-century iron pillar. You'll pass by India Gate and government buildings, then drive past the President House. In Old Delhi, there's the 16th-century Jama Masjid, a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk bazaar (the chaotic heart of the old city), and Raj Ghat where Gandhi was cremated. You stay overnight in New Delhi after a full first day.

Delhi to Jaipur
After breakfast, you're heading to Jaipur by car, which takes about 6 hours covering 270 km. Once you arrive, check into your hotel and take some time to rest and adjust. Later in the day, you'll visit the Albert Hall Museum, which is Rajasthan's oldest and largest state museum housed in an Indo-Saracenic building inside Ram Niwas garden. From there, you'll check out Birla Mandir, a white marble Hindu temple built by the B.M. Birla Foundation back in 1988. You'll return to your hotel for the night.

Jaipur
After breakfast you're heading to Amber Fort, the former capital of the Kachhawaha Rajput rulers. Inside the fort, you'll walk through extravagant palaces showing off Rajput royal life, including the summer palace, winter palace, and mirror palace. On the way, you'll stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace). In the afternoon, you'll tour Jaipur's City Palace, the current royal family's official residence, which has a museum section with armory, textiles, and various artifacts. Your last stop is Jantar Mantar, a 17th-century astronomical observatory known for its precise construction. You'll stay another night in Jaipur.

Jaipur to Agra
You'll have breakfast and then drive to Agra, about 5 hours away by car. During the drive, you'll stop at Abaneri village to see Chand Baori, an impressive step-well from the 8th century or possibly earlier, with later additions from Chauhan and Mughal rulers. Next is Fatehpur Sikri, sometimes called the Ghost City because it was briefly Emperor Akbar's capital before being abandoned. You'll explore the well-preserved palaces, meeting halls, and courtyards there. You'll also visit Saint Salim Chisti's shrine (an important Muslim pilgrimage site) and see the Buland Darwaza gate that Akbar built to celebrate his Gujarat victory. After arriving in Agra, you check in and spend the night.

- Day 5
Agra to Orchha
You're waking up early to see the Taj Mahal, the 16th-century monument Shah Jahan built for his wife Mumtaj Mahal. Your guide meets you at the hotel to share the history and background. Afterward you return for breakfast and check out, leaving your luggage in the car. Then you'll visit the Red Fort, built by Akbar with interior palaces added by his sons and grandsons. From there, you drive to Orchha, about 4 hours away. Check in once you arrive and rest up for exploring the town the next day.

- Day 6
Orchha to Khajuraho
After breakfast you're exploring Orchha, a small, quiet town that draws quite a few tourists. You'll visit Orchha Fort, built in the 16th century by Bundela Rajput Pratap Singh, Orchha's first king. Then there's Ram Mandir, a temple the queen Ganesh Kunwar had built during Akbar's reign. You'll also see Raj Mandir, built by Raja Madhukar Shah who ruled from 1554 to 1591. After lunch and checking out the temples and fort, you drive to Khajuraho, about 4 hours away. You check in there and rest before exploring tomorrow.

Khajuraho
Khajuraho is known for its distinctive erotic sculptures that draw visitors from around the world. The town has two types of temples, Hindu and Jain, both showing remarkable nagara-style architecture. Most temples date from 950 AD to 1050 AD, built by the Chandela dynasty. What's interesting is that both temple types were built together, showing acceptance and respect for different religions. Your guide will explain the history and significance at each site as you go through. In the evening, you can check out the local market and possibly catch the cultural show that runs nightly. You stay overnight at your hotel.

- Day 8
Khajuraho to Panna National Park
After breakfast you're driving to Panna National Park, about 25 km from Khajuraho town. The park is popular for tiger sightings and wildlife viewing. Keep in mind your tour car and driver stay outside the forest area, so you'll need to arrange a separate jeep safari once you're at the park. After your wildlife experience, you drive back to Khajuraho and get dropped at your choice of railway station, airport, or a hotel in town. This wraps up the tour, and your operator can help arrange any onward travel you need.
