Tour packages, hotel selections were mostly very good. Good breakfasts, attentive staff at hotels, etc. Travel and arrangements for travel were hit and miss. Overall better communication by bus operators would be good. First bus back from Tamarindo was terrible. The bus driver only spoke spanish - even then he did not provide any conversation spanish or otherwise to 10 of the passengers in the back - only to the one sitting in the front seat. We had to ask directly what was going on with unplanned stops. He talked and held his phone while driving (would be illegal in Canada for safety) even while crossing over the line to pass another vehicle. Had we known the bridge closure on the way back was so severe to extend travel we would have chosen to fly home out of Liberia instead. At the first and last hotel in San Jose travel pickup should be delayed by 1/2 hour each day until 6:30 am so that people could have a quick breakfast. People taking these tours are on holidays - getting a bus at 6 am meaning you get up at 5 felt like a work day.Show more

Amazing country with breathtaking views where we truly felt part of nature. Everything was perfectly organized by TourRadar, so all we had to do was relax and enjoy the trip while planning our daily activities. The hotels were really nice, all the transportation was on time, and the vans were very comfortable with AC, which made the travel between places very pleasant. Patricia was incredible — she stayed in contact with us throughout the trip and helped us every time we needed anything. Her support made the whole experience even better. It was absolutely worth the money. Highly recommended!Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 11th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 11th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Destination Services Costa Rica. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Destination Services Costa Rica will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
