  A very enjoyable tour! It started with an efficient pick-up at the airport. My original flight itinerary changed and I was very grateful for the assistance offered by Green World Adventures to catch me up to the group. Our first stop was in Tortuguero. I had missed the canal cruise due to the flight issue, but the guides offered to accommodate me on a different day which was most kind and appreciated. The wildlife viewing was amazing. Our second stop was in Puerto Vieja. Our visit to the National Park was awesome, again seeing lots of wildlife. We also nejoyed spending some time on the beach there. All our transfers were timely and friendly. Thanks, Green World Adventures!!Show more

  The quality of the tours was great, I particularly like the extra tours that we could pay for, especially the hike up the volcano in Tortuguera to the highest point in the Caribbean (only 100m!). Spending hours touring the waterways of Tortuguera was very tranquil and full of wildlife. The hotels had great personality, Laguna Lodge with the Gaudi like mosaic everywhere and the curvy lines of the walls and some buildings. The rooms were quite basic (no air conditioning) but had lovely leather rocking chairs in the porch. The food was quite basic and very carbohydrate heavy with no real choice but there was a lot of it so no one was going hungry! My favourite part of the trip was the southern Caribbean coast, Puerto Viejo. The hotel was not in the town but a few kms away (Cariblu in Playa Cocles ). it would have been nicer to stay in town but there are TukTuks to take you in for 3000 colones. The beach was a highlight with beautiful sunsets on the trees behind the beach and very colourful sunrises. Cahuita National Park was also a highlight, so much wildlife anbove and below the water. We didn’t get to snorkel as the sea was too rough in November which was disappointing. Over all it was thoroughly enjoyable although I wish I had spent less time on buses as we always had to go to a central point to switch buses instead of going directly to the destination which was not efficient time wise. I would have liked an option to upgrade the hotels too.Show more

  We enjoyed our brief trip to Costa Rica, though we were disapppointed by hte number of people on the tour since the website had said "No more than 16 travelers" and we had at least 26, if not more, for most activities. That was a particular problem when it came to guided nature walks on single-file paths, where the people at the end of the line had almost no chance of hearing the guide--who was extremely knowledgeable. That said, we were especially impressed with the Toruguero National Park and the amazing array of flora and fauna we saw there. We also really liked the Pachira Lodge where we stayed for 2 nights near the park. We felt we were well taken care of in terms of transportation and transfers, and all of our drivers were excellent and courteous. Costa Rica is a wonderful place to visit!Show more
