A very interesting and concentrated tour. However, for septuagenarians like us, it was too concentrated, so we both added extra days to the start and end, and inserted four extra days (in Goa, Kanyakumari, Madurai, and Pondicherry) in the itinerary. One lesson we learned was that it is vital to keep good control of the organiser, who kept changing the arrangements even at the last minute. We lost a day in Goa when hotels were changed at short notice and we had to wait at one unnecessarily changed hotel until 4 pm for our room to be ready. Our main driver was dependable and helpful, even if poor at English. Other drivers varied - one in Goa seemed to want to contest every inch of road with every other road user while travelling at maximum speed. In spite of (or because of) all that, we had a memorable experience.Show more
