Porto to Penafiel
You'll arrive at Porto International Airport and get set up with a rental car. From there, the drive takes you north through Portugal's countryside, passing through hills, valleys, and river valleys on your way to Penafiel. Once you're there, spend some time walking the local streets, checking out the historic churches and old architecture throughout town.

Following breakfast, drive to São Pedro do Sul, a quiet town in the Lafões valley with mountains around it. You have options here: spend time at the Thermal Baths of São Pedro do Sul, or take a drive to nearby Viseu, an older city with grey stone buildings, a cathedral, and an art museum worth checking out.
