Itinerary
- Day 1
Ouarzazate to Merzouga
An early morning pickup gets you from your Ouarzazate hotel and onto the Road of the Kasbahs as you head toward the desert. You'll pass through the Rose Valley and stop in Boumalne-Dades before reaching the Todra Gorges, where the river has carved deep, narrow canyons through the rock over millennia. After grabbing lunch, the drive continues to Merzouga where you'll meet your camel driver and set out into the Sahara Desert. From the high dunes, you'll watch the sun drop below the horizon, then settle into your private tent for the night. Traditional mint tea comes your way as evening falls, and you can spend time looking for shooting stars or dancing around the campfire with your group.

- Day 2
Merzouga to Ouarzazate
If you're interested, wake early enough to catch the sun's final light touching the desert, then have breakfast at camp before heading back either by camel or 4x4. On the return journey to Ouarzazate, you'll stop at several scenic spots to photograph the desert landscapes and the Draa Valley with its date palms lining the way. The route takes you through the Anti Atlas mountains before you arrive back at your hotel or head to the airport in Ouarzazate.
