Is it possible to join only the first 4 days until Nuwara Eliya / Elle? As I'm traveling alone, a privately organized trip or driver doesn't make sense for me.

If you could let us know what you need to exactly on your holiday, then we can work out a private tour as the 7 th March tour is already fully booked.

I am intrested in booking this trip, but I would like to know examples of hotels were we will be staying before proceeding. It says 2 to 3 stars but no further details. Also if the evening meals are included.

Day 1 and 2 = Sigiriyana Resort By Thilanka or Fresco Water Villas. Day 3 = Hotel Suisse or Topaz Hotel Kandy. Day 4= Bandrawela Hotel or Luxor Kirindiella. Day 5 = Elephant Reach Hotel, Yala. Day 6 = Long Beach Hotel or Koggala Beach Hotel, Koggala. Day 7 = Sofia - Colombo. All the hotels will be on Bed and Breakfast. If you want dinner included, it will cost U$ 70 extra person.

may i know if this tour has any confirmed dates with sign ups, as we would prefer to travel with a group?

We have a group leaving on the 27th December and it is 'Highlight Of Sri Lanka'. So far we have 3 passengers and with you 2, it will be 5 pax. We have another tour leaving on the 20th December but it is a 'Discover Sri Lanka' trip. It has only 2 person booked so far and with you 2, it will be a 4 pax tour.

Is this a group tour?

The 'Highlights Of Sri Lanka' is operating as group and so far we have 4 passengers booked this tour. You will be the 5th passenger. Still we have no passengers booked for the 25th. Hence, you can arrive on the 25th and have a private tour in visiting Wilpattu National Park and Anuradhapura ancient city with Mihintale until you will join the group on the 27th December in Sigiriya.

Are airport transfers included in the price?

Yes, you will be picked up on arrival at the airport, and the transfer to your hotel is included.

Are the national park safaris included in the base price?

The national park safaris may have additional associated costs separate from the base tour price.

Do I need to bring cash for my expenses?

Cash is recommended for personal expenses, but you can also exchange currency in Sri Lanka.

Overall a wonderful experience. The itinerary was very good and we saw a mixture of historical/cultural sites and great scenery. The highlight was touring in Yala National Park with close-up elephants, crocodiles and many colourful birds. The people were very friendly and the food fantastic. Our driver Amila was responsive to our needs, showed us interesting places not on or itinerary, very warm and welcoming. We felt safe with his driving. The one issue on our holiday was the 4 hour dash from the tea plantation to the train trip via Ella.Show more

The communication per messages was great, they made for me and my boyfriend a tailored trip which included everything what I wanted. They easily made the upgrade of hotels, prolonged the trip and included the places that were not in the itinerary. Last but not least we got the best guide, choffeur, friend in one person- Rouwan. He was smart, nice and friendly and explained j ust enough to know the highlighting information. Not boring, we had fun. There was a presidential election in Sri Lanka these days any we didn’t know so if I would plan a back journey from TRINCOMALEE to Colombo airport there will be any because public transport didn’t go this day. A very memorable and lovely experience! As a family aged between 9 and 77, this 2-week tour was a great mix of something for everyone: challenging walks, archaeology, wildlife and beaches. The several early morning starts were rewarded with seeing sights at their best. Our guide ‘Chubby’ was extremely knowledgeable about Sri Lanka’s history and mythology, proud to share his country, and very attentive to our preferences. Always punctual and always positive. Yala Park for wildlife and glamping was our highlight, while the kids lost a bit of interest in the ancient ruins and temples after a while. We would recommend that travellers look closely at the hotel options when tailoring the tour to your preferences: we chose 4 stars and we’re glad not to have gone any lower; we would probably look for some more boutique experiences in future asa couple of the mass tourism hotels felt a bit tired and bland. Overall, we would highly recommend the professional and friendly service of the tour.Show more

  We are happy to go in a small group with other people, and likely will make separate bookings for each one of us, as we are a group of friends, hope this is OK. We are keen to include the safari (is this Yala from the northern quieter entrance?) and the whale watching experience, as well as the train to Ella. Will those payments be done in advance as these are outside the package? We will probably opt in most of the cultural and historic sites, but wanted to double check that can be done closer to the date, or onsite, on the day.

For tours departing after June 18th, 2026, a minimum payment of 5% is required to confirm your booking with Sunrise Sri Lanka Travels and Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.

- The following cards are accepted for "Sunrise Sri Lanka Travels and Tours" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
