Is the last week of February (feb 20) the only date in Feb 2026? Is the group size thusfar, and what ages? Is there any transfers on the trip, or only at the beginning and the end of the trip?

    • MTB ToursOperatorWritten December 2025

The tour we do from February 20-28 is about to be confirmed. So far there are 13 people, mostly Argentinians and one man from Switzerland. The normal average of people coming to the strips is 45 years old. From the first riding day on February 22 to February 26 it's all about riding our bikes. At the end of the tour you can choose whether to stay in Chile, use our transfer back to Neuquen, or go to Buenos Aires.

Would it be possible to rent a mountain bike, including bags? Is it possible to buy water and food regularly on the routes in this area? Could we take a tent, but prefer to stay in hostels, is this doable? Is it safe to cycle, or is there a lot of traffic on the roads? Is the temperature too hot in February to do a trip like this? Which part of the route would you recommend?

    • MTB ToursOperatorWritten December 2025

Yes, you can rent bikes locally. You can buy food and water along routes. Yes, you can stay in hostels/hotels/family houses. It's safe to ride with basic road precautions. It can be hot in February, so consider riding early morning. If you like arid landscapes and gravel roads, choose the leg from Cafayate to Cachi. We don't recommend tours in Salta during summer as it's warm and rainy season.
