I cycle 3 times week about 80km total on e bike. What are distances daily and may l get e bike. I am healthy 60 year old lady travelling with good cyclist

I have two questions. We would need travel to Hanoi to meet the tour. Also, when the tour is over we would like to tour Angkor Wat. We would need to fly from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap and back.

Your adventure officially begins in Hanoi with a welcome meeting at 6:00 pm on Day 1. We can arrange an arrival transfer from Hanoi Airport to the hotel. If you plan to fly into Ho Chi Minh City first, you would need to arrange your own domestic flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi. At the end of the tour, the trip finishes after breakfast in Ho Chi Minh City. Regarding your plans to visit Angkor Wat, international flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Siem Reap would need to be arranged separately.

Are ebikes an option? Is there availability for two people?

We do still have availability on our 04FEB2026 departure and can accommodate 2 travelers. As for E-bikes they are an option for an additional cost but they are only by request. We have limited numbers of these bikes available and they are an 'on request' basis only. A request does not guarantee an e-bike, only a confirmation from us.

How many travellers are booked for Jan 10th? I am a solo traveller and flexible on dates.

As of now, we have 11 confirmed passengers on the Cycle Vietnam trip departing on 10 January 2026. We offer a complimentary hold on the trip for 48 hours, after which a deposit of 200 is required to confirm your space.

Are single rooms available?

A single supplement is available if you'd prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement excludes Day 3 (Homestay) and Day 5 (Overnight Train) where you will be in shared accommodation and is subject to availability. The cost for our 30AUG2025 departure is €270.

What is the group size for the Cycle Vietnam tour?

The tour follows a standard group size format for adventure travel, but exact numbers can vary. It's best to confirm close to your departure date.

Are bicycles included in the tour price, and what type are provided?

Yes, bicycles are included in the tour price. We use a mix of Giant Rincon Disc and Giant Talon bikes.

Can we ask if upgrades in accommodation are available, if upgrade in train travel is possible to private sleeper compartment (shared 2pax), amount of van travel on the tour, options for non sea food meals, group size for this tour

Accommodation upgrades are not available. Room single supplement can be arranged at additional cost. Train accommodation is shared and basic. Non-seafood meals can be accommodated if informed in advance. Group size ranges from 1 to 16 travelers.

This a perfect tour if you set your expectations right. The support crew is amazing, attentive to every detail and is really putting their whole heart into their work. The food, the 3-4 star hotels, the bikes were all good. However, the tour is really geared towards people heavily interested in cycling. We visited a temple or an attraction every couple of days. Boat, train, homestay were all welcome additions, but the rest was cycling through fields and villages, and occassional pool / beach in the hotel. As a tourist visiting Vietnam only once, I expected more tourist activities (historical / architectural landmarks, shows, wild animals) or adventures (kyaking? ziplining?). Most days finish at 4-5 pm, so we did have time for that. The cycling itself could be structured differently: we often cycled when heat is at peak, but never cycled after 3pm. Finally, be aware that it is Ok to cycle at your own pace and stop / take pictures whenever you want. The group will be waiting for you at the next junction. Knowing that from start would save me some incovenience. If you are Ok with all of these, you will have the best time.Show more

This was a great trip. It was a great mix of biking and cultural activities. The biking distances were very satisfactory. The accommodations were good. Logistics all worked well. I appreciated that most of the lunches were included which made it easier in some remote spots. The best part of the tour was our tour guide Son. He paid attention to all details and made things work flawlessly even with rainy weather for three days. It was disappointing that even after booking this trip many months in advance and height, that the proper size bike was not available from day one and there was a bit of scrambling to get the proper size for the next day. Son managed this very well but why didn’t the TourRadar office pass this information along?Show more

Visa
- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before July 7th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 7th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Intrepid Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Intrepid Travel" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.

- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
