What is the maximum number of people on theses tours? I am looking for a tour with small amounts of people. Also, if I didn't do the Mount Kinabalu climb, as im 57 years old, or though reasonably fit, what other options are there to do for those days?, when the rest of the tour are climbing the Mountain

In terms of the group size, the Min would be 1 & Max would be 16. For those that do not wish to climb Mt Kinabalu you are not obliged to, it is an option to have accommodation arranged and stay at the base of Kinabalu at Park Headquarters. The local leader can assist you in recommending some activities that you can engage while you wait for the group to return from the hike.

Is it possible to skip some difficult ones?

You have the option to skip trip activities during the trip by informing your tour leader. You also have the option to skip the Mt Kinabalu climb but if you decide to skip this hike, you will have to inform us prior to the trip departure, so that our local team can make the necessary arrangements for you.

- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before October 12th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after October 12th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Intrepid Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
