Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu

    You'll arrive at Kathmandu Airport where someone from the tour company meets you and drives you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day however you like, whether that's resting after your flight or wandering around Nepal's capital to get a feel for the city.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu to Pokhara

    A private van picks you up for the 7-hour drive to Pokhara. The route takes you along the base of the Annapurna Massif, so you'll have great views of the mountains the whole way. It's a long day in the vehicle, but the scenery keeps things interesting.

  3. Day 3

    Pokhara

    Your mountain biking adventure starts today with a warm-up ride on local trails in the Pokhara Valley. You can choose what kind of ride suits you: flat cross-country trails, steep climbs with Himalayan backdrops, recreational rides to caves, or flowing single-track that builds your technique.

  4. Day 4

    Pokhara to Jomsom to Kagbeni

    Early morning flight from Pokhara to Jomsom takes about 20 minutes. After landing, you'll put your bikes together and have breakfast while looking at Mount Nilgiri. Then you bike to Kagbeni (2800m) on a flat, rocky jeep track alongside the Kaligandaki gorge, following the route famous trekkers use. You'll spend the night at the Red House hotel.

  5. Day 5

    Kagbeni to Muktinath

    Get up early to catch sunrise and take photos. You'll bike mostly uphill to Muktinath on jeep track. Lunch happens at Jharkot, and afterward you explore some monasteries and see local life in the area.

  6. Day 6

    Muktinath to Chaile

    Today you enter Upper Mustang. You'll ride uphill to the Gyu La pass, descend into Chusang for lunch, then follow the Kali River banks, cross a bridge, and bike uphill to Chaile. This village sits high with views of Mount Nilgiri and the valley below. Spend time looking at old buildings and a monastery there.

  7. Day 7

    Chaile to Syangboche

    You head farther north, riding and walking your bike uphill with downhill sections after each pass. Between Chaile and Syangboche you'll cross 4 passes. Stop for lunch at Samar, and on the way to Syangboche you'll probably come across villagers, ponies, and donkeys on the trail.

  8. Day 8

    Syangboche to Charang

    This day starts with a short climb to a small pass, then two more come after. From that first pass the views open up to show Nilgiri, Annapurna, and Mustang. You'll ride gentle track, tackle a steep downhill into Gilling, then climb through pretty villages on single-track. The biggest pass comes at 4000m, then you descend to Ghami for lunch at a local tea house with Tibetan food. After riding through farmland with yaks, crossing a bridge past a Mani wall and old Gumba, you reach another pass before dropping down to Charang to rest.

  9. Day 9

    Charang to Lo-Manthang

    You finally reach Lo-Manthang, the walled city with Buddhist heritage. This is a relatively easy riding day with only the Lo-la pass (3810m) to cross. Open jeep tracks and trekking trails give you 360-degree views and photo opportunities. After the pass, Lo-Manthang is about 30 minutes away. Lunch is at your guesthouse, then you relax for the rest of the day.

  10. Day 10

    Lo-Manthang

    Spend today exploring Lo-Manthang, checking out centuries-old Gumbas, the Royal Palace, inhabited caves, and a museum. You'll see how Buddhist traditions shape daily life here, and there's a chance to meet the traditional King and Queen of the region.

  11. Day 11

    Lo-Manthang to Ghami

    You head back from Lo-Manthang on new single-track routes you didn't use before. Two passes over 4000 meters come up, each with views looking back down the Mustang Valley. You'll see the Ghar Gumba from a different angle this time. By evening you're in the village of Ghami, the same place where you stopped for lunch on the way up.

  12. Day 12

    Ghami to Samar

    You reverse the route coming toward Lo-Manthang, and the views on the way back are just as nice. Lunch is in Syangboche, then you bike up to a pass and down to Samar village for the night.

  13. Day 13

    Samar to Marpha

    Start early with a small climb to the Da-Jorila pass (3737m), then downhill to Chaile. From there you ride along the Kali Gandaki river to Kagbeni and have lunch either in Chhusang or Kagbeni. After lunch you bike back along the gorge to Jomsom, then continue through apple gardens to reach Marpha, a village known for its apple brandy.

  14. Day 14

    Marpha to Tatopani

    After exploring Marpha in the morning and having breakfast, you bike toward lower elevation in a subtropical region along the Kaligandaki River. It's downhill the whole way with green scenery and more oxygen. You reach Tatopani, which means 'hot spring' in Nepali and is popular locally for treating skin problems and giving tired legs a break.

  15. Day 15

    Tatopani to Pokhara

    After breakfast you bike along the river bed on a jeep track to Beni Bazaar where the road to Pokhara starts. Your vehicle is waiting there to drive you back to Pokhara.

  16. Day 16

    Pokhara to Kathmandu

    You drive back to Kathmandu today. In the evening there's a farewell dinner at a Nepalese restaurant with a cultural dance program.

    Kathmandu Departure

    Do you have a table about the kilometer and climbing meters per day. I like challenges and train every day a bit. What are the difficulties of your tour? Do you have a description of the necessary condition and practice I'll need?

      So here is some details for upper misting biking. Day 1 arrives in Kathmandu. Day 4 fly from Pokhara to Jomsom, biking to Kagbeni. Distance per day ranges from 12 km to 45 km, with elevations between 899m to 5200m.
