Hintersee to Weißbach
Transfer gets you to Magic Forest and Lake Hintersee to start things off. From there, a comfortable walk takes you into the National Park's heart with steep rock walls on either side. You'll cross into Salzburg and follow the trail next to Seisenbergklamm's roaring waterfalls until you reach Weißbach.

Maria Alm to Hochkönig
Short transfer to Maria Alm, then you'll climb toward the Pinzgauer grass mountains. The walk follows a series of rolling summits across alpine pastures with great views throughout. You'll get good sightlines of the nearby Hohe Tauern from various points.

Hochkönig to Arthurhaus
This walk ranks among the nicest on alpine pastures in the region. Below the needle-like Mandlwalls towers, you'll move along the foot of Hochkönig massif heading toward Arthurhouse. Chamois, cattle, and horses roam the area, and you'll pass several impressive alpine cabins set in dramatic scenery.

Arthurhaus
You get a flexible day to do what you want. Take a short hike to nearby cabins or catch a bus to the village of Mühlbach if you prefer. It's your chance to relax and explore at your own pace without a set itinerary.

Landmarks Mühlbach - Day 6
Arthurhaus to Golling
Head up to the alpine pasture of the Hochkönig-Region for views of the massif. Follow an old miner's trail down into the Salzach river valley and continue to Werfen, where Hohenwerfen forest is worth checking out. Later, take the train from Werfen to Golling.

Golling to Berchtesgaden
Transfer into Bluntautal valley for the week's final highlight with dramatic steep rock walls surrounding you. You'll climb through forest and scattered alpine pastures on a long ascent to Torrener Joch border crossing and Jenner summit in Berchtesgaden. The panoramic views from up top cover the entire week's route and Lake Königssee. Cable car brings you back down.
