We booked the luxury boat but due to fuel prices we were moved to a regular boat. The difference was refunded. Our concern with the regular boats were a few poor reviews but we did not have any issues like that on our boat. The linens were clean, the AC worked and the bathroom was fine for two nights. The food was good and plenty and we were provided drinking water along with tea. The guide was great and patient taking photos and handling all the logistics. Our main negative was some poor communication about schedules and itinerary changes once we arrived at the port. It was Eid al-Adha the day we were to depart so there were disruptions to the schedule that were not communicated. We didn't depart until noon that day and then did not make it all the way to the island to see the flying foxes depart at dusk. We also had some unknown return to Laban Bajo on the 2nd night that was not communicated and it was unclear if that caused us to miss some activities on the third day. We had a great time but our time is valuable so if it was known that for that departure we would not leave until noon, then we would have flown in the morning and skipped the night in Laban Bajo.Show more

Wow! What a great three days abord a boat plying the waters of the Komodo National Park. Swimming with giant manta rays, getting close up to the Komodo Dragon, hiking to the top of Padar Island to take in the most spectacular vistas were the highlights of the trip. And we were all surprised by the quantity and truly excellent quality of our meals. Only negative (which should easily be corrected) was when one of our group injured a toe, there was no first aid kit on board. One from a nearby boat was used.Show more

  There is an air Asia flight that arrives at 8:15 am, is that enough time to make the boat pickup by 9:30? How reliable is the airline arrival? On the return, the itinerary shows a return by 13:00 - is there enough time to make the 13:40?
