What types of vegan meals are available on this tour?

The tour itself does not include any meals, except breakfast at the hotel. The options are not many, as Iceland is an island where meat is very prevalent. However you will be able to find options for vegetables, fruits and grains.

Is this tour based out of the same town or hotel for the 6 days or do you travel and stay in different cities? Also, how long are the day tours?

You will be spending all the days in Reykjavik, and you will not be spending any nights outside of Reykjavik. You will be doing day tours that will pick you up from Reykjavik. The day tours are between 8-14 hours, but of course it can depend very much on weather and road conditions.

Do you have anything special planned in Reykjavik on the day of the eclipse, August 12th? My clients want to know if there are any events.

The tour does not have specific eclipse events. However, the Iceland Eclipse Festival (August 12-15, 2026) will take place on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. It's a four-day event blending music, art, science, and ceremony. Note that hotel accommodation for this event is already sold out.

Can I bring Canadian dollars or US dollars, or will I need to exchange for local currency? What is the minimum daily amount recommended for day to day expenses like food?

In Iceland, clients can conveniently use their cards virtually everywhere, so there's generally no need to carry cash. However, if they prefer to use cash, they'll need to exchange US dollars for Icelandic króna, as foreign currency isn't widely accepted. An estimated budget of $60–$80 per person should be sufficient for food and drink, though this can vary depending on dining preferences and restaurant choices.

Will this tour be in a good viewing spot of the eclipse on Aug 12?

The best location to view the eclipse in August 2026 will be from the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. It is quite possible that the tour will not be in that area at the time of the eclipse, and even if it is, the group may visit a specific site that does not offer an optimal viewing opportunity. Where are the lunch spots on this tour? I know it is not included. I just want to know if there are decent lunch places.

Most of the days on the itinerary include stops in towns or popular sightseeing areas where you'll find a range of decent lunch spots recommended by your guide: Local cafés, bakeries, and casual eateries are usually accessible.

Could I still join you for departure on Monday if possible?

Unfortunately the earliest that this booking can be booked is the 26th of March as visible on the booking.

Can you tell us the time the tours depart each day? They have a health regimen that they need to follow in the morning before they leave the hotel.

The earliest departure time will be for the South Coast day tour starting at 7:30 AM. For the other days, the departures are scheduled to start at 8:00 AM for the Snaefelsness Peninsula day tour and 09:00 AM for the Golden Circle day tour. The Reykjavik city tour will be handled by the Hop on-Hop off City Sightseeing bus and they can choose their preferred starting time during the day.
