    The expedition starts and ends in Ushuaia, Argentina.

    For Classic Antarctica, the key experiences are already included, such as the expedition lectures and Zodiac shore excursions around the Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands, ice conditions permitting.
    
    There are not really paid sightseeing optionals in the usual sense, as the exact landing sites are decided by the expedition team based on weather and ice conditions. Possible stops may include places like Melchior Island, Cuverville Island, Portal Point, Neko Harbour, Pléneau Island and Petermann Island, depending on conditions.
    
    Cabin upgrades may be available on request as well, subject to availability.

    The 03 November departure is now fully sold out. For 12 November, there is still limited availability remaining, with only a few Standard Plus Twin cabins left. If you are looking for the most cost-effective option, the next available departures with better availability are on 01 December (limited availability) or 19 December.

    We do release dates quite a ways in advance for this tour, they're currently published until March 2027. I do not have an estimate as to when the rest of 2027 will be released, however if I was to make a guess it would likely be this Spring!

  My mother is 77 years old and has limited mobility due to a back issue (uses a walker). She would very much like to see Antartica though understands that the Zodiak trips and the like would not be for her. Given said issue, would this trip be okay for her provided she remains on the ship?

    Unfortunately, the Classic Antarctica – 10 Days expedition would not be suitable for your mother, even if she were to remain onboard the ship throughout the voyage. All passengers must be in good overall health and physically capable of managing normal onboard and shore-related activities, which may involve moderate exertion and a high degree of self-sufficiency. This includes navigating stairs between decks and managing steep gangways. The ship is not equipped to accommodate wheelchairs or walkers.

    Two cabins share one bathroom accessible from both cabins (shower and wc). Each cabin is also equipped with its own washbasin.

    On the Classic Antarctica – 10 days tour, the standard twin cabins share a bathroom that's accessible from both cabins. Each cabin also has its own washbasin. If you prefer a private bathroom, there are a limited number of suites available with en-suite facilities.

  I was wondering if an 8 year old would be permitted to go on the cruise, as I note that the brochure states 10 as an "ideal age."

    For the Classic Antarctica – 10 Day Tour departing Monday, 3 November 2025, the minimum age requirement is 15 years old. This means that unfortunately, children under 15—including 8-year-olds—are not permitted on this specific expedition cruise. The age guideline is in place due to the nature of the voyage, which includes: Zodiac landings in remote and potentially challenging environments, Moderate physical activity requirements, Safety protocols that may not be suitable for younger children

  I'm interested in booking one of your tours in December as a solo traveler, but was wondering if you pair people in shared cabins? The cost is over a $5,000 difference to book a single private room and was wondering if there is any flexibility or other solo women traveling that would be paired up.
