The 17th February date is no longer available. We have seen a large increase in bookings over the last couple of days. The next available date for this trip is now the 17th March. We are a UK company, however we do get people joining us from all over the world. Our trips are led in English so would require a level of English speaking to be able to communicate and understand instructions. Coming from the Philippines is no issue at all! You'd simply book your flight into Sri Lanka and we would pick you up from the airport on Day 1.

What is the general type of transport? Will it be mostly private vehicle? Or train/rail?

The transport during the trip is mostly Private mini vans through out.

We are a family of 4 from Bulgaria, parents with 2 sons, 17 and 20 years old. We like active travel, and nature, and people cultural experience. Do you have a group in that time? Or is it possible to organize a group for that time?

We don't currently offer family-style trips, and unfortunately, we also don't run any tours over the Christmas and New Year period. Our trips finish up a few days before Christmas and then start again in early January.

I'm interested for a package of 5D4N for 2 (with my mother 70 yrs old, rather active still). We will be arriving/departing from Colombo international airport on 15th April, can i find a suitable package covering all the important touristy spots of Sri Lanka, hoping would be a memorable one for my mother. She would love to explore Ramayana related places, and if possible to include whale watching too.

We have customers who are young students and gap year backpackers eager to join others on their first-ever solo adventure. It would be unfair for us to accept bookings from travellers outside of the 18-39 age range that we set for our groups. I would suggest looking at companies like G Adventures, One Life Adventures, or Intro Travel. I know they have a much more flexible demographic than we do, and they offer very similar group trips.

Do you do private tours?

Sadly we don't run private tours and we do just run the group trips on the set dates available to book. We don't have a trip starting on this date but we do have a trip starting on the 1st April with an awesome group of people already booked on! Would this work for you?

Are you strict with the upper limit of 39 or just as a guide?

We advertise our trips to 18-39-year-olds. Most of our travellers are in their 20s and 30s, with a slightly higher average age on our Sri Lanka trips (typically 25-35). If you're within the age range and your husband is just outside, you're both very welcome to join us. Just be prepared to share the trip with younger travellers. We generally find that age on our trips is very much just a number, and everyone gets along brilliantly.

When should I arrive on the first day of the tour? What time does the tour start?

We suggest arriving during the middle of the 1st day. This gives you time to freshen up before dinner and drinks. You can arrive anytime that works for you, but aim for midday to avoid early check-in. Plans on the 1st day are relaxed with dinner and drinks before properly starting on Day 2 morning.

Could you please confirm if the tour price includes all entry tickets and activities listed in the itinerary? Additionally, are there any additional costs that I should be aware of that are not included in the initial tour price, such as optional activities, tips, or personal expenses?

Our trips include most of the big ticket items like twin share accommodation, all awesome activities mentioned on our itinerary, local experiences, secret stops along the way, local guides, a group leader and a handful of meals. With the meals included, You should expect almost all your breakfasts to be included to allow us to get the best out of each day. You'll also get a few lunches on day trips and the odd dinner. You just need to book your flights, arrange travel insurance and have some spending money for those extra meals, drinks and of course some pennies for shopping/massages/extra cocktails. There really are no hidden costs as we show exactly what is and isn't included for you to see.

Who will I share a room with?

All solo travellers will pair up with other travellers of the same sex… girls with girls & guys with guys. If you are travelling with a friend, let us know, and we can put you together… same if you are travelling as a couple, we will arrange a double room where possible. You can upgrade during the booking form if you’d like your own room.

Do we stay in hostels or hotels?

The accommodation on our trips is something we do better than anyone else, and our tours definitely wouldn’t be the same without the awesome places we stay. From start to finish this was an amazing experience. Tia introduced herself prior to the trip which I loved especially as a female solo traveler this was really reassuring. Tia was an amazing guide and you could tell she was passionate about the trip. I’d like to thank Tia for all the surprises throughout my birthday it was so unexpected but I’m so grateful for the effort put in. I also thought it was a really nice touch to do secret Santa and think this was a brilliant idea and a really lovely way to end the trip. Ian was so friendly when collecting me from the airport and made me feel very safe as this was my firth time visiting Sri Lanka. Ian was always there as a helping hand when hiking and making sure we were ok which was really appreciated. I also loved it when he did his song for each person and we had to guess who it was for. Ian also made me feel so special on my birthday from star to finish. His smile and passion to show his country is really refreshing to see. Chandra again had a smile on his face throughout the trip and was so helpful with our bags and keeping us safe. Chandra also helped decorate the bus for my birthday which again was so lovely of him to do. Nothing was a problem no matter how big or small the ask.Show more

There’s so much amazing nature to see and culture to experience, so much food to eat, it’s incredible that we managed to do it all. I just finished the Sri Lanka tour and I am at a loss for words. All credit goes to Feel Free and Jamie for showing how us how beautiful Sri Lanka is. Feeling completely comfortable, safe and having a smile on my face at all times, this is a MUST. I am also a returning customer, having completed the Bali tour in October, I am now tempted to do the rest of these tours by Feel Free. Jamie deserves a special shout out for genuinely just being such a great leader. It was my first travel with the group and I'm so glad that I've chose the Feel Free travel. Honestly, first of all I've booked the trip to Sri Lanka very late and very spontanious as I happend to be just arround the corner in India for some business. As all the bookings were closed by that time, I've wrote the message to feel free travel and they agreed to "sqeeze" me in the groop as I was a solo traveller 😊 Everything from there went really fast and just an hour later my trip was booked. The trip itself was very good organized, and offered a good mix of activities and entertainment. Accomodations we stayed in were really carefully selected and offered the best stay experience. Oh, i forgot to mention that there were surprises waiting for us which were really amazing! And of course, the trip would not be the same without two amazing people: our group leader Jaimie who took care of all our wishes and was a true group spirit, was really helpful if we needed anything and our kind hearted local guide Ian who was sharing not only the countrie's history but also his knowledge about each of the places we went to, happend to be an amazing friend and always went an extra mile making our trip unforgetable! I can’t express how amazing this trip was. It was the first time I was doing something like this, and I felt very comfortable and safe the whole time. Our group leader Jamie and our local guide Ian were absolutely fantastic!! Jamie is full of energy, constantly smiling and gave us the best experience ever. Ian had some great knowledge up his sleeve (and dance moves!) about Sri Lanka, the food, the culture, the history, which was very interesting to learn about. I was very impressed with the accommodation throughout the trip too - very comfortable and clean, with great beds, breakfasts and pools! In terms of the tour itself, it was 10/10. It was a perfect mix of culture and adventure, with a couple of evenings out. And the surprises were incredible and probably one of my favourite parts of the trip! The bus journeys were comfortable and easy, usually with 3 hour journeys being split with a short activity or lunch in between. Overall, I can’t fault anything.   We head out in Tuk Tuks around 9am on Day 2. We can arrange transport no matter what time you arrive. Backpacks are more common luggage. There are laundry opportunities throughout the trip, especially in Ella. Bringing a laptop is fine. We can't guarantee absolute security but haven't had issues before. Specific details about luggage storage can be discussed.

  Our trips include most of the big ticket items like twin share accommodation, all awesome activities mentioned on our itinerary, local experiences, secret stops along the way, local guides, a group leader and a handful of meals. With the meals included, You should expect almost all your breakfasts to be included to allow us to get the best out of each day. You'll also get a few lunches on day trips and the odd dinner. You just need to book your flights, arrange travel insurance and have some spending money for those extra meals, drinks and of course some pennies for shopping/massages/extra cocktails. There really are no hidden costs as we show exactly what is and isn't included for you to see.

If you are travelling with a friend, let us know, and we can put you together… same if you are travelling as a couple, we will arrange a double room where possible. Visa
- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before July 6th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 6th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Feel Free Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Feel Free Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Feel Free Travel" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
