Dear Maren, Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback. We are sorry to hear that our tour could not fully meet your expectations - we will do our best to improve our services in the future. As you could have seen in the booking terms, a tour leader's (! not the same as a tour guide) responsibilities are to provide logistical support and historical/cultural info and orientation walks in the visited areas: "The Company selects experienced tour leaders that give participants maximum information on visited places and destinations in general, lead the group in nature, take care of safety and ensure smooth travel, transportation, accommodation, etc. However, tour leaders do not have to conduct excursions around visited settlements or at individual monuments." regards, gratefully, Vibe Adventures’ team

    Accommodation
    Group size
    • Vibe AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2026

Regarding accommodations, most of our tours feature "conveniently-located, locally owned properties", basically smaller tourist-class (3* or similar) accommodations with private facilities in each room. The list of accommodations for each departure varies based on the number of participants and availability in particular hotels, thus the final list of hotels is normally sent to the traveler together with trip notes 1-2 weeks before the tour. What concerns this particular tour, to give you a better perspective of what to expect, some of the properties in previous departures were:

      • North 2 South Adventures (15D): Hotel Roble (Mexico City), Hotel Senorial (Puebla), Hotel San Judas (Mitla), Ahava Hotel (Playa del Carmen).
      • Colonial Heritage (9D): Hotel Roble (Mexico City), Hotel Refugio Victoria (Morelia), Hotel Chocolate Suites (Guanajuato).
      • Tales of Michoacan (8D): Hotel Roble (Mexico City), Hotel Refugio Victoria (Morelia), Hotel Boutique Casa Graciela (Patzcuaro), Hotel Hidalgo 1905 (Zamora), Los Azufres Spa Natural (Los Azufres).
      • Mexico: Yucatán, Cancun & Riviera Maya Adventure (8D): Adhara Hacienda Cancun (Cancun), Hotel Casa Margot (Holbox), Hotel Geyser (Valladolid).
