Of course, that's more than possible. We can add it at the beginning or end of the trip, whichever you prefer. Day 1 - Welcome to Porto! Private transfer to your hotel in Porto and check-in. And then the time is all yours! Take a stroll around the city center, where you will find super cool shops and wonderful restaurants. Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Porto. Day 2 - Explore Porto and enjoy the local gastronomy After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel lobby for your half-day sightseeing tour of Porto. In the historic city centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will enjoy a pleasant walk through its charming streets while learning about the city's history and culture. Along the way, you will pass by landmarks such as the famous Lello Library, known for inspiring the Harry Potter books and films, the Golden Church of St. Francis, and the impressive Palácio da Bolsa with its incredible granite work and magnificent Neo-Arabic influences (entrances not included). The tour continues towards the picturesque Douro riverfront, where you can admire the iconic D. Luís Bridge and the famous Port Wine cellars that brought worldwide recognition to the city. While strolling through the city, you will also make a few stops at typical establishments to taste some of Porto's best delicacies. I was about to book this tour, and was happy to share a room with someone. I am a solo traveller. If there is another solo traveller (female) happy to share, please could you contact me and I will book. I am unable to afford the solo traveller price.

We dont to share rooms. We typically recommend this tour for at least 2 people.

Are transfers from the airport to the hotel included in the price?

Yes, transfers from the airport to the hotel are included in the tour price.

What time do you go to the airport on day 9? My clients are looking at a 11:15am flight home.

On the last day of the trip, we can book the transfer whenever it fits the traveler's needs. For a 11am flight, they would need to be at Lisbon airport at 8:30am the latest, so they'd need to leave the Algarve between 5 - 5:30 am. If that's doable, perfect. If not, we can book the transfer from the Algarve for the afternoon/evening of Day 8, and have the travelers sleeping in Lisbon, this last night, so it's easier for their flight home.

What are the names of the hotels used during the tour?

The hotels used during the tour are Hotel Heritage Lisbon Plaza, The Olive Hotel Evora, and Hotel Vila Gale Lagos among others depending on room availability and client preferences.

Is that true? dont welcome solo travelers?

The tour is available for a solo traveller, on which dates were you planning to come to Portugal so that I could give you the single supplement?

Are your Portugal small tours in small minivan?

Yes we either work with minivan or minibus, maximum 8 people.

Is tour mainly in English? or do you go back and forth? In Algarve we would like to do hiking especially in Seven Hanging Valleys... is this easily arranged? I have someone who might be interested but is 80... very good shape does cycling tours all over Europe... would he be allowed to join?

Yes all drivers and tour guide speak English. Hiking in the Seven Hanging Valleys is an optional not part of the tour but definitely possible and a wonderful choice for your trip to the Algarve. The scenery is truly spectacular. Regarding your friend who is 80, I'm delighted to hear he's in excellent shape and enjoys cycling, we can certainly allow his participation.

Lisbon through Evora was an excellent experience, made so by our amazing guide, Joao! We kept busy with a wide variety of things to do and Joao was knowledgeable and responsive. Lagos was less satisfying as we no longer had a guide and the hotel was on the outskirts of the town requiring a 30 min walk or 5 Euro taxi ride. There is not much to do in Lagos aside from the grotto tour (1.5 hrs) which was a change from the planned 5 hr boat trip, cancelled by weather.Show more

We just returned from a wonderful trip. It took us to so many places in Portugal and gave us many interesting experiences that would have been difficult to arrange on our own. We saw cities and locations all over Portugal, from the very north of the country to the Algarve. A highlight was a day trip to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. The drivers/guides were great. Stand-outs were Pedro, Jorge, and Fillipa. The driver/guides were punctual and always eager to give us memorable experiences. We had a number of rainy days which sometimes required a change in plans. But our driver/guides always made the most of it. I recommend this trip most highly!Show more

For tours departing after April 29th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Portugal Travel Center. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.

- The following cards are accepted for "Portugal Travel Center" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
