Itinerary
- Day 1
Amsterdam
You'll arrive at the ship between noon and 2 PM near Amsterdam Central Station. After getting settled, head out around 2:30 PM for your first bike ride through Oude Wetering. This initial cycle takes you through Amsterdam back to where the ship is moored, so you can get comfortable with your bikes and the boat before the real journey starts.

Gouda
This morning involves cycling straight into the heart of the bulb fields heading toward Keukenhof, Holland's main flower region where you'll stop for lunch. From there, the route takes you along quieter paths and narrow roads, covering about 45 km total through scenic terrain. By afternoon you'll reach Gouda, one of Holland's well-known cheese cities, where the ship will be waiting.

Landmarks Keukenhof Gouda - Day 3
Dordrecht
Start the day cycling along narrow waterways surrounded by pastures as you head toward Dordrecht, one of the oldest towns in the Netherlands. The ride covers roughly 40 to 50 km, and the ship moors within easy walking distance of the town centre. By evening, there's a guided walk through this historic city if you're interested in learning more about it.

Landmarks Dordrecht - Day 4
Zierikzee
The morning starts with a barge journey from Dordrecht to Willemstad, an old fortified city. From there you'll bike approximately 50 km through quiet polders and pastures, passing through fishing villages like Oude Tonge and Bruinisse on the Zeeuws Islands. Along the way, check out the newly expanded Flood museum built inside 4 former caissons, those large floating concrete boxes used to fill gaps in broken dikes. You'll finish in Zierikzee, an ancient harbour that's still very active today.

Middelburg or Vlissingen
From Zierikzee in Zeeland, cycle about 55 km across Walcheren, the biggest island in the region. Your destination is either Middelburg, the capital of Zeeland, or Vlissingen (Flushings in English), which sits at the entrance to the Westerschelde estuary and serves as the gateway to Antwerp's port.

Ghent, Belgium
Leave Zeeland and head toward the Westerschelde estuary, the main waterway connecting Antwerp to the sea. You'll cycle along scenic winding inner dikes lined with trees, then take a boat across the Westerschelde to reach Zeeuws Vlaanderen in southern Western Holland. From there, either cycle or sail to Ghent, a medieval city with an active town centre full of interesting squares and buildings, the Gravensteen castle, churches, and St. Baafs cathedral. The ship moors right in Ghent, and an evening walk through town is worth doing. Total biking distance runs about 40 to 45 km, or potentially more if you're an experienced cyclist.

Landmarks Westerschelde Zeeuws Vlaanderen Gravensteen St. Baafs Cathedral Ghent - Day 7
Bruges, Belgium
Today takes you from one medieval city to another, cycling from Ghent to Bruges. You have options: stay on the ship and start biking from midway through, or cycle the entire way. If you haven't explored Ghent's town centre yet, do that first. Between the two cities, the route follows quiet roads through typical Flemish countryside with small-scale fields, farmhouses, and little villages. Expect about 35 km if you sail partway, or around 60 km for the full cycling route.
