I don't see any note of Dingle....Is there an opportunity to visit? Also, help with scheduling flights be available?

You do not visit Dingle on the Ireland to Island tour. This tour covers the entire Ring of Kerry and includes two nights in Killarney, so unfortunately, there isn't time to visit Dingle. If visiting Dingle is something you'd like to do, I would recommend our Great Atlantic Adventure tour. This tour also departs on Sundays, is part of our active tour range and includes two nights in Dingle. Please note that we do not arrange flights, so these would need to be organized independently.

I love the sound of this tour apart from the biking part, is there any way I can do the tour without that small section?

Absolutely you don't need to partake in the cycle around Inis Oir, however it is a small island 3 x 2 klm. I actually walked it with my two children 2 years ago and its is a lovely walk. There are some lovely places to see if you want to explore such as an old ship wreck and a beautiful sandy beach if you just want to relax and take in the view. There are some nice market stalls selling Aran fudge and nice souvenirs and there is a wonderful seaweed spa if you would like to purchase some gifts.

I am traveling with a friend but we want to book separate rooms. Is that possible for this tour, ensuring we will both be on the same tour bus and booked at same hotels, etc.? If so, what would the cost be per room and how would I go about booking it?

We do have some availability on the 27th of September for Ireland to Island tour. The cost is €2195 plus €379 single supplement. The single supp guarantees your private ensuite room for duration of the tour.

Really want to visit Cong and the Knock Shrine .. can we do this on our own at some point during the tour? If not, any other tours that may work?

This would depend on what free time is available on each day of the tour, you could maybe skip an activity and make your own arrangements to see these sights, or during an evening of free time you could make arrangements.

How much time would I have on my own? Are the tours/activities all day, every day?

The days are normally from 09:00 till about 17:00 but in between you have activities, lunch free time and time to explore as well.

I'm interested in this tour solely because of the trips to Aran Islands and Skellig Michael. Please can you advise how much extra these excursions will be

The trip to Aran Islands is included on this tour. The boat would be €120 per person and is payable on the day in cash to the boat directly.

Is it possible to go on our own when we stay in Portmagee that night? If so, could we get a car in Portmagee to make this small excursion?

While renting a car for one night might seem difficult, you could indeed get a taxi to and from the dark sky reserve no problem.

Is the bed larger than a double in the triple room? Is a double the largest bed on the two person room?

For a triple room, it would consist of a double bed along with either a single bed or a rollaway bed in the same room. A double bed is the standard size for two people sharing, but if you'd like more space, we also offer an upgrade to a king or queen-size bed. This would be the largest bed available on our tours.

Amazing 7 day tour with Matthew, our guide from Overland Tours. We started the tour in Dublin, then we went to Rock of Cashel, Midleton Distillery, Cobh, Blarney, Waterville, Killarney, Ross's Castle, Muckross House, Cliffs of Moher, West Kerry sheepdog demonstration, Doolin, Inisheer Island, Galway and then headed back to Dublin. We saw everything I wanted to see, including puffins at the Cliffs of Moher despite rain and fog. I would recommend taking a rain jacket and sunscreen (the weather can change hour to hour) and a waterproof tennis shoe/walking trail shoe like KEEN. I packed a simple dress that could be folded up in my suitcase and wore that a couple of times with Reef sandals if we went somewhere a bit nicer to eat for dinner, but you can easily dress casually the entire tour.Show more

We booked with Overland Ireland after speaking with several tour operators. They do small group tours with a maximum of 15 people/tour but since we had a family of 8, we decided to do a private tour with them. They were more than willing to acommodate us with this. This gave us more flexibility in what we wanted to see and do. We saw some of the more common tourist sites but also did some unique and "off the beaten path" activities, like learning to play hurling and kayaking in Dingle Bay. We also went to the Aran Islands and did a E-bike tour of the island - a great way to get around. Our tour guide/driver, Hugh O'Reilly, was amazing and made our trip! He was full of great information, stories and craic. By the end of our trip, he was part of the family. He even arranged for Champagne and Candies in our son and future daughter-in-law's room after their engagement! We would definitely recommend Overland Ireland and High O'Reilly to anyone considering a trip to Ireland.Show more

He didn't stress when He had to change busses four times due to some problem with them, making us late for our first departure. Wonderful! I can't say enough about our tour. The itinerary was perfect for us and because we were in a van we were able to go places a big motorcoach wouldn't go. The scenery was amazing! The accommodations were very comfortable and charming - but beware - no lifts!! The included breakfasts were delicious and filling everywhere we went. But the best part of our Ireland to Island Tour was Connor, our guide! He was so knowledgeable, proud to share his country with us, and an excellent and fearless driver! He always made sure that everyone in the group was comfortable and cared for. And best of all he was fun!!!Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 22nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 22nd, 2026, a minimum payment of $350 is required to confirm your booking with Overland - Small Group Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Overland - Small Group Tours will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Overland - Small Group Tours" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
