We are currently open for bookings. At this stage, we cannot say exactly who will book this tour, as our groups are usually mixed with guests of different ages. However, most participants are typically between 30 and 55 years old.

We are looking to travel with a 8-year old child and would like to enquire about triple room upgrades. Can you please indicate the price for 2 adults and 1 child for this tour?

We are interested to join the Discovery Sri Lanka Beauty Tour starting Feb 23, 2026. 1) What day of the week would we catch the Ella train trip? and who buys tickets and chooses seats and class for the train trip? 2) We would want to end our tour with you when the group arrives in Galle. We plan to stay in Galle for a few days and then make our own way back to Colombo. Can you shorten the itinerary for us and provide a revised cost for the tour?

You will be travelling to Ella on Day 06, 28 February 2026. The train tickets will be purchased by us. Please note that the class cannot be guaranteed due to high demand, however, we will secure either 1st or 2nd class tickets. The train seat cannot be selected, as it is automatically assigned by the railway system. Kindly let us know whether you would like to end the trip at the beginning of the Galle day or at the end of the Galle day, so that we can offer you a discounted price accordingly.

Given floods in Sri Lanka will tour still happen?

Our tours are operating as usual, and we've already had two groups depart this week. By January, conditions across the country are expected to be even more stable. Currently, the main tourist sites in the Central Province are safe to visit. While some roads have been affected, we are using alternative routes to ensure smooth and comfortable travel until the usual roads are fully restored.

Are both days fully organised or would i have time to do scuba diving one of the two days?

If you're interested in scuba diving, no worries at all. You can certainly do that. We have already organized a few activities for the day, and the rest of the time will be for you to relax at the beach.

I'm interested in a tour of Sri Lanka with my partner and my baby (who will be 9 months old in February when we want to travel). I'm wondering if I wok do still have to pay £1000+ for a baby on one of your tours?

If your baby is less than one year old during your stay in Sri Lanka, it's completely free of charge. If you need a baby seat or a cot, please let me know. You can also upgrade this tour to a private option for USD 350.00.

A great way to experience of the natural beauty and culture of Sri Lanka. The itinerary was jam packed with activities, especially liked the hiking (sunrise/sunset). Part One (Colombo Airport to Nuwara Eliya) - My first five days of the tour was travelling solo with driver / guide Shanaka who made my trip so memorable. Shanaka has very good English and was able to change the itinerary to suit my needs and provide different experiences for me, such as a visit to the Negombo Botanical Gardens, a Sri Lankan cooking class, a night hike in jungle to see the elusive Loris, and a visit to the historic Nuwara Eliya Post Office. He is a wonderful guide and I enjoyed our time together so much. Please ask for him if you plan on an ASY Tour. The BEST experience was bathing an elephant at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, AMAZING. Part Two (Nuwara Eliya to Colombo) - I joined 2 other travellers and my new driver / guide Supun. Supun is a very considerate and knowledgeable guide, and if you are a 'nervous passenger' he is the safest driver in Sri Lanka IMO. The jeep safari in Yala National Park was a highlight. We saw many animals and birds including Leopards sleeping. Tangalle is great for a walk along the beach, and Galle Fort is very impressive. The south coast area is very beautiful and I could easily have stayed longer. The hotels were very good quality and generally exceeded my expectations. Communications with ASY Tours were very good and the organisation went like clockwork. I am glad I chose a local Sri Lankan tour company rather than a big global travel company as the Sri Lankan people get 100% benefit from my visit to their beautiful country.Show more

We saw lots of wildlife including some cheeky monkeys lots of elephants and a leopard.There are loads of peacocks roaming about also some large lizards. The tour was very good ! The country is really beatiful , with wonderful beaches , mountains to hike , tea plantations and forest with wild fauna. Each day had new surprise. Our guide/ driver , Ishi , was a kind person and extremely concerned with our safety and always ready to solve our problems. The tour included visiting many different places ,quite distant one from each other , and sometimes our schedule obliged us to go faster we’d have like to , but of course it happens in a country where the traffic is quite messy. The train was a very interesting social experience that I really enjoyed. The hotels were in general good and some of them excellent ! To wrap up, I loved the tour .Show more

The itinerary was excellent (Discovery 12 day tour) and we were looked after by our guide Ishi: Nothing was too much trouble, he was fun to be around, an excellent driver on roads with the madness of tuk tuks, bikes and windy roads in the mountains and organised all our adventures and activities flawlessly. We experienced so much wildlife, both on safaris and during our road journeys. There was alot of driving on this tour but the activities on route to the next destination made it worthwhile. Hotels were excellent. Memories will last a lifetime from this tour and would highly recommend ASY. We hope to return!Show more

This was a fantastic trip and it was amazing to see so many different places in Sri Lanka, asa a solo traveller it meant I had company and the ease of having a private driver meant this was possible. Despite the floods and landslides the country had faced just before I departed, the tour went ahead as planned and we managed to do everything, even the train journey which was an experience seeing lots of passengers hanging themselves out the doors. Supun our tour guide was extremely lovely and made the experience for us all. We were a small group which meant things could easily be tailored to each member of the group. The hotels we stayed in were beautiful and all very different, it was just a shame for the staff that at a number of them we were the only guests due to cancellations. I would highly recommend this trip, the highlight for me was definitely the beautiful scenery and seeing lots of elephants, a leopard, a sloth bear and the wonderful turtle hatchery.Show more

This is an excellent tour overall. It was crammed with memorable experiences. Our small group of three people, came away filled with admiration for Sri Lanka, it majestic scenery, its art and monuments, its wildlife, its people and the great food. Our tour was further enhanced by the care and service we received by our excellent tour guide. It's a tightly-scheduled tour, especially suitable for individuals under 60 years of age. You can still do it if you are over 60 and fit, however some of the mountain climbs can be challenging. Personally I would have preferred a slower-paced tour and fewer climbs. All the sights and experiences were interesting. One of the highlights for me was undoubtedly the visit to the wild-life park where we spotted a leopard and a sloth digging up an anthill for food. I would leave out the bullock ride. I am personally against the exploitation of animals and the dirt road was full of potholes and the bullocks struggled to pull.Show more

I am a solo traveler wanting to travel in a group. If room sharing is an option I would like this. What is your group maximum. Can you advise if train journey on this tour still possible? With regard to entrance fees not included on this tour can you advise of cost and also list what optional activities are available. Finally does your company offer any other tours say 14 days.

We are interested to join the Discovery Sri Lanka Beauty Tour starting Feb 23, 2026. 1) What day of the week would we catch the Ella train trip? and who buys tickets and chooses seats and class for the train trip? 2) We would want to end our tour with you when the group arrives in Galle. We plan to stay in Galle for a few days and then make our own way back to Colombo. Can you shorten the itinerary for us and provide a revised cost for the tour?

Please note that the class cannot be guaranteed due to high demand, however, we will secure either 1st or 2nd class tickets. The train seat cannot be selected, as it is automatically assigned by the railway system. Kindly let us know whether you would like to end the trip at the beginning of the Galle day or at the end of the Galle day, so that we can offer you a discounted price accordingly.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 16th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 16th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with ASY Tours Sri Lanka. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
