This trip will start in Hanoi (HAN) and end in Ho Chi Minh City (SGN). You will join the group tours in Vietnam (group size maybe 12-16 people). The group tour is NOT that you share with the same group from the beginning till the end. Most of our tour is a partial group tour in which you will have different groups for excursion at each place, but airport pick up/drop off and accommodation are private, just join a group on days you have a tour. For solo travelers sometimes it is important to be with the same group for the entire trip. Based on your initial request for solo, departing on 24th January 2026, the price of 3-star accommodation will be: US $1,260 + $290 (local payment) = US $1,550

Does the price include the domestic flights or are they part of the local fees that are due?

The local payment covers airfares during the trip (Hanoi - Danang, Danang - Ho Chi Minh City), the English-speaking guide fee, and some other local fees for a wholesome experience which you pay us directly by credit card or cash on the first day.

I am really interested in the travel. Though my preferred start will be 28th or 29th of December, I kindly ask you to give me some information about the additional cost for new years dinner and bank holiday fee.

Do you have any update for me? Furthermore, I have an additional inquiry regarding the airport transfers on the arrival and departure days. Are these scheduled to meet the specific needs of the travelers? If not, could you please let me know the tour's start time?

Are there any electric bikes

Our group tour doesn't have electric bike, just having regular bike.

Are there Dutch-speaking guides available for the Vietnam tour? We are traveling with children aged 8 and 12.

Dutch is not popular in Vietnam, you need to pay an additional fee of USD 180 per day for Dutch Speaking Guide Fee.

Are all activities on the tour at additional cost? Some are mentioned in the main itinerary. Also how much roughly do the internal flights cost?

Included activities: Overnight Boat Trip on Ha Long Bay, Basket Boat in Hoi An, Mekong Delta Day Trip, Cu Chi Tunnels. Not included: Night out in Hanoi, Sea Kayaking, Private Island Stay, Bicycle of Ba Vi, River Boat Cruise, Dragon Mountain Viewpoint, Local market. Due to policies, we can't break down internal flights cost as we offer the whole package.

Just checking, internal flights not included in tour cost? How does it work, do you organise the flights from say Hanoi to da Nang and then tell us how much extra needs to be paid?

For your question, I want to let you know that the domestic flights during the trip are included in our package. But the international flights for arrival and departure of this tour are NOT included. You will book it yourself as it'll be more flexible to your availability.

I would recommend to configure the trip with more nature, maybe add Sapa for a hike, an extra night in Halong or Hoi An would have been relaxing. I recently took a Vietnam tour, and while most of the tour guides were decent and professional, one guide really stood out in a negative way. He repeatedly brought up political commentary about how the U.S. manipulated the South to fight the North, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable for a tour setting. He also kept emphasizing that “$1 is nothing” to people in Vietnam, strongly insinuating that tourists should tip much more. This was confusing and off-putting, especially since we were clearly advised that a $5 per person tip was appropriate. The “10-day” tour was misleading, as three days were mostly travel days and several so-called day tours were only partial days. Overall, I felt that many of the day tours could have been done independently for far less money, with a better experience. Unfortunately, this tour did not meet my expectations in terms of value, engagement, or professionalism, and I would not choose the same guided tours again.Show more

More importantly, my Tour Representative, Su Do, was amazing and I cannot praise her enough. I received a message everyday asking how I enjoyed the tour and then a message informing me of time of pick up, Tour Guides name and registration of vehicle, so there were no mistakes. Is it safe for a female solo traveler to travel by herself on a group tour in Vietnam? Are there departures starting from 24 January in groups of travelers? My dates are flexible.

The group tour is NOT that you share with the same group from the beginning till the end. Most of our tour is a partial group tour in which you will have different groups for excursion at each place, but airport pick up/drop off and accommodation are private, just join a group on days you have a tour. For solo travelers sometimes it is important to be with the same group for the entire trip. Based on your initial request for solo, departing on 24th January 2026, the price of 3-star accommodation will be: US $1,260 + $290 (local payment) = US $1,550

  Unfortunately we aren't able to come earlier - how impacted will we be if we come that week ... enough that we have can't see some of the locations?? Perhaps if it is really bad we might have to cancel and not come ... what do you recommend?

  1. You will see crowds and traffic congestion before February 17th. From February 17th to 19th or 20th, you will see that many shops and restaurants will be closed for the holiday or people returning home, so there will be fewer options for sightseeing or experiencing local life compared to normal days. 2. On day 6, this tour won't operate. You can change to a private tour for an extra cost or leave it free by reducing the price by US$25 per person.

  Morning, I'm actually wanting a tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. My must do's are Siem Reap temples, Killing fields and school prison, Mehong delta, Cu Chi tunnels. Would like to go to Hue, Halong bay cruise. I'm happy to do around 15-20 days and 3 star accommodation is sufficient although would be curious on cost of better accommodations.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before April 21st, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after April 21st, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Realistic Asia. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Realistic Asia will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
