We do not have any packages for this tour in October; this tour operates from May through to September. The latest departure date we have for this tour in 2026 is the 19th of September, ending on the 27th of September. Please let us know if you are open to other tour options or travel dates.

We need to report to mission work near Krakow on July 2, but would like to arrive, just about anywhere in Europe, early to travel. We need to fly home on July 14, preferably from Krakow, but that is flexible. 2 adults, 2 16-year-olds. We want to fly out of Austin, TX, but that is flexible, also.

This tour is a fully guided tour that will start and end in Warsaw, Poland. You will have a three (3) day stop in Krakow. You will be responsible for booking your flights from the United States. We do not book your flights.

You will be responsible for booking your flights to and from the start and end of the tour.

Will the tour visit and see the Black Madonna?

The guided tour of Jasna Góra in Czestochowa unveils the story of the Monastery that withstood the repeated onslaughts of overwhelming Swedish forces during the religious wars of the 17th century. Since then, its Black Madonna has been venerated as the 'Queen of Poland' and has become the country's national symbol.

Is it up to travellers to make their own way to the start point

We can arrange transfers from the airport to the first hotel at an additional cost or you can make your own way to the first hotel.

Is this available on a private basis? I'm interested in dates in September.

Is there any possibility of a departure date later in September?

If we book this tour, "Portrait of Poland" do we have to make our own way to Warsaw presumably at our expense?

You will be responsible for your flights to and from Warsaw. We do not include flights with this tour package.

Is it possible to arrive a night earlier to Warsaw and end our tour in Krakow? Our children are too young for Auschwitz so after Zakopane we would leave the group and stay in Krakow to visit with family.

You will be able to arrive a day early on either of these departure dates. Most of our tours have a minimum age of 5. As long as your children are at least 5 before the departure date, they will be able to participate in the activities. We highly recommend against leaving the tour early. If you decide to leave the tour early, there will not be an adjustment to the price of the tour.

Do I need my passport number to book this trip?

We do not need your passport information immediately. We do require it before final payment, but since you are looking for this tour next year, it should not be an issue. You can get it to us when you have it available.

What are the room types? I am traveling solo and do NOT want to share a room.

We do offer single accommodations. The single supplement for the April 15, 2023 tour date would be $340. So total tour cost for a single would be $1719.00.

Our Tour Guide Bart was great but could improve some aspects of the tour experience. The first night was not a greet and meet but Bart instructing us on what the next week would be. Perhaps group introductions would have opened up communication with each other much earlier. No group photo which everyone wanted. Hotels were of a good standard but I would rather pay a bit extra to have hotels closer to the city centre. Staff at the hotels need a bit more personality. Food overall was very very disappointing. Soup every night and sometimes bread and mostly not. Food was quite often very unappetising and not enough. Unless you ate ham, cheese and pickles for breakfast there was not a lot to choose from sometimes. Krakow put out a toaster one morning out of three. Hotel, staff and meals at Poznań were the best pick.Show more

This trip was truly incredible for those that are interested in the history of Poland or have roots in Poland. Poland has a very rich past and this tour took us to the most important sites. Our tour director Bartosz Paleta was excellent. He cared about each person in our (large) group, was very knowledgeable of the centuries of history, culture, political, cuisine, and we learned so much! The itinerary was excellent, optional tours were very good (Salt Mine, and Auschwitz), the hotels were good, and the included breakfasts and dinners were excellent (oh these croissants...). Our driver Lukasz took care of us during stormy weather and was great as well. Over all, I recommend this tour!Show more
